My Monday

Monday's I try to keep open for our family. I like to just spend time with all of them. That didn't happen last night.

My Monday consists of cleaning my house from top to bottom. I put shine on all of my wood floors and mop the rest. I dust, vacuum, do laundry, clean the bedrooms, bathroom. I leave for work around 11:30 a.m.

I was able to get everything done so I could relax Monday evening. On my motor route a good friend of mine called. His favorite Aunt died late Sunday evening. He said, "that the viewing was going to be last night (Monday evening) form 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m". The funeral is this morning at 10:00 a.m. There were so many family members their last night, I decided not to go to the funeral today.

I called my husband and told him about this situation. He said, (like I though he would) "We have to go". I got home around 5:30 p.m. and got ready to go to the funeral home. We spent and hour with Phil and Robin before leaving.

My husband took me out to dinner after that. It was nice to spend sometime alone with my husband. We work so much we don't have a lot of alone time.

When we got home my "little Bo" reminded me tomorrow was his fieldtrip. There were going to an 1800's museum. I had every intention of being prepared for this event along time ago. HA! I need to get organized! Yes, e-mom I will be visiting your blog again. I need your organization post.

I can tell I am old! You won't believe this, but I came up with a whole outfit for Bo to wear. Down to suspenders! This is what I dressed him in; A white button up shirt, a black bow tie (I knew not the throw that thing out) His brothers khaki shorts, (they were long on Bo and looked like knickers) dark socks, shoes, and suspenders.

He carried his lunch in a wicker basket with a handkerchief as a cover up. We had almost everything on the list that they suggested he take for lunch. My husband made pancakes for the kids for dinner so he took some of them, apple sauce, a pear, beef jerky and apple juice to drink.

I took a picture of him; as soon as I get it developed I'll post it. He looked so adorable.

It took me forever to go to sleep last night. My head was still going a mile a minute. Finally, after what seemed like hours, I drifted off to sleep.

This morning I was up bright and early to get everyone off to school.

I am looking forward to another fun and exciting day!

Hi Lori -- You are a wonderful Mom and grandma and a whole lot more. I don't think I have ever been as busy as you.
And for us, everyday is Saturday, but not always a relaxing Saturday, but your kind of day with more things needing to be done than we can do(especially given our old folk ambition). We (Jim's) should start paying attention to priorities.

Oh yes, Sunday is never Saturday! Sunday is God's day for us. Not that the rest aren't also God's, but we use them liberally for us.

Nice that you went to the funeral and had a nice meal with your hubby. The 1800's outfit sounds adorable, can't wait to see the photo. The basket was a nice touch! :)

I my gosh I got tired just reading your blog! ha! What a day you had. Mine are so much quieter since I have gone from 4 kids to one child at home and I watch my adorable granddaughter 3 days a week (my daughter stays the night when she works as it is closer for her). It was nice visiting your blog and Bo is adorable!

Doesn't it amaze you sometimes how much you can accomplish under pressure? I hate it but I have to admit I get more done when I have no choice. I'm looking forward to the photo, too.

Sounds like you should sit down and put your feet up!

greenspot,

I didn't mind going to the funeral home at all. It was just funny that it happened so fast. My friends aunt died late Sunday evening and the services were the next evening. That is pretty fast around here.
