A beautiful October Weekend!
I took my boy's to the "Homecoming Parade and Game last night" The parade was great. Bo got lots of candy! We live a minute away from where the parade starts so we didn't have to go far from home to see it. My friend came over and went with me and the kids to the parade and the game. My son and daughter-in-law are gone to Iowa for the weekend or I would have asked them to go along with us if they were home.
Upon returning home from the parade, My 8 year old grandson and his Granddad pulled in the driveway. They asked if Bo could come over and spend the night. My daughter-in-law had called me earlier in the day and asked if Bo could go to Cedar Point with Josh's Gram and Granddad on Saturday. I had forgotten to tell Bo he was going. Oh my, Bo was so very happy. My husband said that Bo didn't have to try and make it back for church on Sunday. We normally don't let the kids spend the night with anyone on Saturday evening because we put the Lord first in our lives. Church is just a must if you live in our home. Bo is nine so he really doesn't have a choice. : )
My home town football team lost their "Homecoming game" in the last 1 1/2 left in the game. I am not a real sports person! The only game I can say, I really love to watch on T.V. is Golf. I just love watching the pros play. Years ago I use to watch Greg Norman play. I would keep up with him throughout the golf season; I followed the entire tournament he was a part of. I loved watching him play, plus I loved his accent!
I told AJ he could have a friend go with us and spend the night. My twins always have their best friends over. I thought it was AJ's turn.
We meant my Brother and his family at the game. When I get together with my brother, we usually talk the whole night away. We watch very little of the football game. As always I had a wonderful time with family and friends.
Today, I was so tired after my route I had to lay down when I got home at 8:00 a.m. and take a nap. My husband is so awesome and understanding. I woke up at 11:00 a.m. and he just smiled at me when I came out of the bedroom. He said if I can get some sleep I need to take the opportunity. If you have read my blog you know my weekends are full.
This afternoon I went to my Janitors job and got my advances early. I don't want to be locked in the storage faculty again early Sunday morning.
Tomorrow brings work at 12:30 a.m. I need to be at church at 7:30 a.m. for Worship practice and sound check. My quartet sings tomorrow during our church service. I am looking forward to an awesome time worshipping our Lord.
After church we are going out to eat at our favorite restaurant. We are then going to put up our pool for the winter. In the late afternoon it is off to wrestling training for AJ. That just about covers every minute of my time this weekend.
I plan on making the most of everything and every minute the Lord gives me. Good or bad, I will try to bring Glory to our wonderful Lord and Savior.
Song my Quartet is singing tomorrow in our Worship service:
He Came Down To My Level
Artist: Guy Penrod
Album: The Best Of Guy Penrod
Year: 2005
He Came Down To My Level
He came down to my level
When I couldn’t get up to His
With a strong arm He lifted me up
To show me what livin’ is
He’ll come down to your level if you’ll open up the door
He wants to make your life worth livin’
That’s what he came down for
If you’re lookin’ for contentment
In the things that you can see
You’re gonna have some disappointment
So won’t you listen to me please
‘Cause I know about a Savior
He came down to be a man
And when He left He sent His Spirit
He made me everything to me.
He came down to my level
When I couldn’t get up to His
With a strong arm He lifted me up
To show me what livin’ is
He’ll come down to your level if you’ll open up the door
He wants to make your life worth livin’
That’s what he came down for
Sometimes I make decisions
That later I regret
But the Lord keep assuring me
He’s not finished with me yet
I don’t worry about tomorrow
I don’t worry about yesterday
I don’t worry about this crazy world
‘Cause I Found a better way
He came down to my level
When I couldn’t get up to His
With a strong arm He lifted me up
To show me what livin’ is
He’ll come down to your level if you’ll open up the door
He wants to make your life worth livin’
That’s what he came down for
He wants to make your life worth livin’
That’s what he came down for
That’s what he came down for
