You Don't Have To Own A Cat To Appreciate This One!

I'm trying to recuperate from my long weekend! I think I used just about every once of energy that I had left in my body to make it through the Worship – Fest. While I do that, here are more funnies from my mom.

I want to thank all of you for thinking of me on what would have been my sons 20th Birthday. I made it through the day with just a few tears. If you are familiar with my blog you know I am a real big birthday person. I love to throw birthday parties for my family and the people that I love. It is just always a little harder on his birthday because I can't do that. I never want to forget him so I set a little time on what would have been his birthday to go over his picture book.

Thank you so much for all of your comments, and well wishes.

You Don't Have To Own A Cat To Appreciate This One!

We were dressed and ready to go out for the New Years Eve Party. We turned on a night light, turned the answering machine on, covered our pet parakeet and put the cat in the backyard. We phoned the local cab company and requested a taxi. The taxi arrived and we opened the front door to leave the house. The cat we put out in the yard, scoots back into the house.

We didn't want the cat shut in the house because she always tries to eat the bird.

My wife goes out to the taxi, while I went inside to get the cat. The cat runs upstairs, with me in hot pursuit.

Waiting in the cab, my wife doesn't want the driver to know that the house will be empty for the night. So, obviously without my knowledge, she explains to the taxi driver that I will be out soon. "He's just going upstairs to say goodbye to my mother."

A few minutes later, I get into the cab. "Sorry I took so long," I said, as the cab drove away. "she was hiding under the bed. Had to poke her with a coat hanger to get her to come out! She tried to take off, so I grabbed her by the neck. Then, I had to wrap her in a blanket to keep her from scratching me. But it worked! I hauled her downstairs and threw her out into the back yard!"

Woops The cab driver hit a parked car.

My Dentist Visit

My day started out with having to go to the Dentist at 8:00 a.m. this morning. I know how important it is to take care of my teeth but I really hate going to the Dentist. I had two cavities to get fixed! I am normally not a crabby person unless I have to go to see the Dentist or Doctor. (I think my children and husband might disagree with this)

I normally get Jack my grandson on Thursday's but my daughter forgot to cancel her dentist appointment, she was supposed to get her wisdom tooth removed. I called her at work in the afternoon and asked her if she remembered to cancel her appointment. She told me she couldn't find the number and didn't cancel it. This made me a little cranky because I knew that my November 7th appointment was going to be tomorrow morning at 8:00 a.m. I really didn't need this, this week. I didn't want to leave the dentist hanging so I changed my appointment.

When I was getting ready this morning I was a bit crabby at my daughter. I got to the dentist office and the Dentist asked me how I was doing. I told him it is 8:00 a.m. and I am sitting in a dentist chair waiting to get two shots. After the two shots I will have to sit in this chair until my mouth feels like it is two sizes bigger than it is right now, all the while making small talk. I will then have to hold my mouth open until I can't stand it any longer, while choking on my spit and trying to answer their questions with a grunt, with both the dentist hands in my mouth, a drill, and a tube sucking whatever it can get a hold of out of my mouth. After all of this enjoyment I then get to try and talk to people for the next 3 hours without drooling down the side of my mouth. I told Dr. Mayday beside all of this I am doing just fine! He laughed at me and said it would all be over very quickly. I have been going to this dentist for many years now; he really is a great dentist!

Everything I told him came true! When you are 43 years old and have sat in the dentist chair once, you know what to expect. Needless to say I survived!

The harvest party last night went great! I had soooo much fun. We didn't have time to bob for apples! (I am still clapping my hands) The hay ride was a lot of fun, plus we decorated pumpkins, played a few games, ate donuts and drank apple cider. I love apple cider so this was a wonderful treat for me. I had 6 girls in my group last night! It was a very busy but fun evening.

Boaz really enjoyed the corn maze last night! His group didn't get back until 9:00 p.m. I had to stay and practice so I didn't get the low down of the evening yet.

The twin’s football team lost their last game; they lost all of their games this year. Football season is now over, on to Wrestling.

Tomorrow will be a busy day!

My boss from my house cleaning job called and asked if I could come and clean out his refrigerator and all of his drawers tomorrow. I was hoping to get one more Friday off. He just got back from vacation so I wasn't going to clean again until next Friday. I have to be there at 9:00 a.m. I'll leave his house around 12:30 p.m. and head to my Ann Arbor news motor route job. Tomorrow evening at 6:00 p.m. is our dress rehearsal for our Worship fest. I am sure this will last until at least 9:00 p.m. That will be my Friday!

I'll blog more after I see how the dress rehearsal turns out tomorrow evening.

Letter from my Nephew in Jail

Living for the simple things in life: Turning our burdens over to Him

I received this letter from my nephew yesterday. I blogged about my nephew being in jail and what he did to get their before. I linked to that in this post.
This is the first letter I have received from him, it brought me to tears.

The top of the paper is dated Sunday Morning 10/22/06

Hi Aunt Lori,

Thank you for writing me, every letter I get makes me look forward to getting home. I still think everyday about the bad choice I made in life and I can't understand why I made them. It has cost me a lot in life. My freedom to be with my children, my license and it almost cost me my marriage forever. God works in mysterious ways, I have grown closer to Him, in all the time I have to myself, I call upon Him for comfort and He gives me peace. I really miss my kids and Terra. I am scared for her having a child by herself, I wish I could be by her side. I have always loved her with all my heart but didn't know how to be a husband or most of all a friend to her. I know now who I am and what I am commanded to be. I will be that or do my best to be that person till God takes me away. It's so hard not being able to be their for them.

I thank you for everything you've done for us. You have always been there for me and Terra and the kids. Tell everyone I said HI.

This boot camp is not so hard but it’s supposed to be the hardest in the country. I must be stronger then the people who said this place was hard. Time really moves slowly here but probably because so much runs through my mind. Terra said that Noah is remembering verses? That is so good and nice to hear.

Hopefully Derik will let me work with him again, I don't I don't know I need a full time job or they will violate me again and I will go back to jail. Pray God will provide me with a job. I know it will be hard without having a license but God will take care of me. I'm not going to stress too much, it will take time and patience but my life will be back on track. The worse part about the whole situation is the kids suffering without a Dad. I wish I never did the things I did. I was not thinking about my kids or myself at the time. I always would try to keep them safe and never put hem in the middle. When I didn't have the kids I was lonely and miserable and drank to get my mind off of things. If I had known who I really was and had the faith in God that I do now, this all would maybe not have happened. I take this as God's big plan to restore my life to Him. I really think this had to happen for me to let Him work in my life. I am just a man and will always make mistakes but God is changing me and my wife.

Again thanks for writing,

Love,

Jeremy

The Harvest Party!

Bobbing for Apples is one of the games that we are going to play tonight.
BTW- I don't like this game at ALLLLLL! I wasn't in charge of picking out the games. There is just something I don't like about sticking my face in water that 20 other people have stuck their face in. OH YUCK!!!!!

I took one of my Ann Arbor news routes off so I could attend my twin boy’s last Football game. I am really looking forward to seeing them play. I really don't think they get a lot of playing time in, but I think they will like me being their. They said they would.

In Awana tonight we are going to have a Harvest party for the 3rd and 4th grade girls. We are going to start with a hay ride, after the hay ride we will have a council time message and I will lead the girls in few songs. We have food, games and activites planned for the girls. I think it is going to be such a fun and exciting evening.

Bo is going to a Corn Maze in his Awana group tonight. He is very excited about going, I'll blog about our evening tomorrow.

I am going to go shopping in the morning with my daughter to pick out an outfit to wear to the Worship - Fest. We decided we were going to try to match outfits with the fellow we will be singing a few songs with. We decided to try to find matching black blazer's with black pants. I think we should add a little color to our tops we pick out? It should be a fun morning. Maybe, I'll take Bec out to breakfast?

After Awana I have a lot of practcing to do. I am practicing with the Trio I am in and the quartet. Thursday evening after Worship team practice I have to practice with a few people I am doing duets with. I have them lined up back to back so I should be done by the time I need to start working.

I'd better head off to bed! It's 2:52 a.m. I just got home from my cleaning job. 6:00 a.m. comes very early.

I Survived another busy weekend!

I have been so very busy with stuff! I blogged about what I had to do last weekend; I survived my weekend pretty well.

The wedding shower Friday evening went well. The person that is getting married I discipled for about a year. She has asked me to sing in her wedding and of course I am more than happy to do just that. This couple that is getting married to me is the very imagine of the "perfect young couple" They love the Lord and each other very much. I can't wait to see what the Lord has in store for them.

AJ's Senior pictures take went great! It rained all morning here in Michigan so I thought for sure he would have to have all indoor pictures taken. He didn't care if he got his picture taken at all. I think it was more for me than for him. She took about 20 different poses; I had to make AJ laugh. He is not use to getting so much attention; such a failure on my part. He is so laid back and easy going that he had been sort of put on the back burner all these years. He never demands attention like some of my other children do. I am glad I have notice this mistake and still have time to do something about it before he leaves for the Navy. He now takes advantage of any Mom time he can get. The afternoon turned out so beautiful here so we were able to get in some out door pictures as well. I'll post them in a few weeks.

Sunday was a little crazy; I got my Ann Arbor news papers late, due to the World Series game. I delivered most of my advances before I got the main paper so it wasn't so bad. Just a very long evening! I got home at 9:15 a.m. and had to leave my house at 9:40 a.m. to get to church in time to lead worship. I am glad I prepared my heart the night before. I ran into church and up on stage just in time to sing the opening song. The sermon was good! I am grateful for that because after an all righter at work if the sermon is dry I fall asleep.

The baby shower Sunday afternoon was nice. All of my family was their; plus a lot of Terra's family came. We played games; I stink at them. Terra got a lot of nice things. I gave her Diapers and $100.00 her husband is the one in Jail for drinking and driving.
I try to help her out financial when I can.

I took AJ to U of M stadium for his wrestling practice with the U of M wrestlers. I usually just stay and watch because AJ doesn't like for me to leave. I sat and talked to one of the dad's for a little while. I Then could feel sleep trying to take over my body. I tried with all of my might to fight it off. It was warm in the room and I hadn’t sleeed since 2:30 a.m. Saturday morning. I don't know if I was snoring our drooling or what but the guy that I was sitting next to hit me in the leg and asked me if I wanted to go out into the hall so he could buy me a pop. At that point I couldn't even think of where in the world I was. I declined telling him I could buy my own pop. I followed him out into the hallway and thanked him for waking me up. Before I knew it the night was over. I looked at the dad and said "WOW! This night went by so fast". He looked at me with a very funny look on his face and said, "You slept for an hour of it". I had no idea I slept that long. If I am that tired again I think I will just sit out in my truck instead of going in and trying to stay awake.

This week is going o.k. yesterday was a down day. I didn't do anything except clean my house. I even took a nap after I got the kids off to school.

Today, I had a hair cut appointment at 9:00 a.m. I had to go clean up leaves at my house cleaning job before my boss gets back tomorrow from his trip. I am now just relaxing a bit before going to work. I have to practice tonight with a fellow I am singing a few duets with when I get home from work.

After next week things really should slow down a bit for me.

Prayer for my Step-dad please

Here is an update on my Step-dad; please keep him in your prayers.

This is an email I received from my mom yesterday.

Lori

The surgeons office called Dad will be going to see her tomorrow to find out where we go from here. Please be in Prayer about this. I do not want to see him have to go through biopsy surgery.
Also when I got home yesterday he was out blowing leaves. Gee and I worried about him the whole time. (smile) I am thankful he is strong willed and will try to keep going though. He took his pills when he got home from church, they help him not to hurt in his back for some reason.

Red Skelton's Recipe

RED SKELTON'S RECIPE FOR THE PERFECT MARRIAGE

1. Two times a week, we go to a nice restaurant, have a
little beverage, good food and companionship.
She goes on Tuesdays, I go on Fridays.

2. We also sleep in separate beds.
Hers is in California and mine is in Texas.

3. I take my wi fe everywhere.....
but she keeps finding her way back.

4. I asked my wife where she wanted to go for our
anniversary. "Somewhere I haven't been in a long time!"
she said. So I suggested the kitchen.

5. We always hold hands. If I let go, she shops.

6 She has an electric blender, electric toaster and electric
bread maker. She said "There are too many gadgets and no place
to sit down!" .. So I bought her an electric chair.

7. My wife told me the car wasn't running well because
there was water in the carburetor.
I asked where the car was; she told me "In the lake."

8. She got a mud pack and looked great for two days.
Then the mud fell off.

9. She ran after the garbage truck, yelling "Am I too late
for the garbage?" .. The driver said "No, jump in!"

10. Remember: Marriage is the number one cause of divorce.

11. I married Miss Right. I just didn't know her
first name was Always.

12. I haven't spoken to my wife in 18 months.
I don't like to interrupt her.

13. The last fight was my fault though.
! My wife asked "What's on the TV?"
I said "Dust!"

Can't you just hear him say all of these?
I love it.........this is the good old days

when humor didn't have to start with a four letter word........just clean and simple fun

Husband & Wife - Love To Do
A wife, one evening, drew her husband's attention to the couple next door and said, "Do you see that couple? How devoted they are? He kisses her every time they meet. Why don't you do that?" "I would love to." Replied the husband. "But I don't know her well enough."

Husband & Wife - No Answer Back
A man was telling his friends, "When my wife is infuriated, she starts shouting at me, my children and even at our dogs and nobody dares answer her." One of his friends asked."And when you are angry, what do you do?" The man replied, "I also shout angrily at the windows and doors of the house and none of them dares to answer back.

Husband & Wife - Come Home Late
A woman was complaining to the neighbour that her husband always came home late, no matter how she tried to stop him. "Take my advice," said the neighbour, "and do what I did. Once my husband came home at three o'clock in the morning, and from my bed I called out: "Is that you, Jim?" And that cured him. "Cured him !" asked the woman, "but how?" The neighbour said, "You see, his name is Bill."

Husband & Wife - Love Your Enemy
From his death bed, the husband called his wife and said, "One month after I die I want you to marry Samy." "Samy! But he is your enemy !" "Yes, I know that ! I've suffered all these years so let him suffer now."

"I Give You My Heart"

No matter how important all of the external things are in our worship, the biggest obstacle in worship is what God has to deal with in us. The biggest problem in worship is our heart. As I sit and prepare my own heart for worship I am reminded of these words in Matthew. I am going to sit and meditate on these words to prepare my heart for worship.

Matthew 15:1-20

1Then some Pharisees and teachers of the law came to Jesus from Jerusalem and asked, 2"Why do your disciples break the tradition of the elders? They don't wash their hands before they eat!" 3Jesus replied, "And why do you break the command of God for the sake of your tradition? 4For God said, 'Honor your father and mother'[a] and 'Anyone who curses his father or mother must be put to death.'[b] 5But you say that if a man says to his father or mother, 'Whatever help you might otherwise have received from me is a gift devoted to God,' 6he is not to 'honor his father[c]' with it. Thus you nullify the word of God for the sake of your tradition. 7You hypocrites! Isaiah was right when he prophesied about you: 8" 'These people honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me. 9They worship me in vain; their teachings are but rules taught by men.'[d]" 10Jesus called the crowd to him and said, "Listen and understand. 11What goes into a man's mouth does not make him 'unclean,' but what comes out of his mouth, that is what makes him 'unclean.' " 12Then the disciples came to him and asked, "Do you know that the Pharisees were offended when they heard this?" 13He replied, "Every plant that my heavenly Father has not planted will be pulled up by the roots. 14Leave them; they are blind guides.[e] If a blind man leads a blind man, both will fall into a pit." 15Peter said, "Explain the parable to us."
16"Are you still so dull?" Jesus asked them. 17"Don't you see that whatever enters the mouth goes into the stomach and then out of the body? 18But the things that come out of the mouth come from the heart, and these make a man 'unclean.' 19For out of the heart come evil thoughts, murder, adultery, sexual immorality, theft, false testimony, slander. 20These are what make a man 'unclean'; but eating with unwashed hands does not make him 'unclean.' "

Lord, I admit right now that worship is all about you. There are so many ways that I have made it in to something else because of my sin, because of my failures and so now as I think about this issue of worship as I look in to your Word, I pray that all of this might honor You, all of this might be part of my worship and all of this might draw me closer to You my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. And so Lord may the reading of your Word, may the the worship of my heart, be holy and pleasing to you. Tomorrow as I sit under your Word help me to be alert and learn truths that I might grow in You. As I prepare to lead Your people into worship , may the meditation that I do to prepare my heart be pleasing in your sight because you are my God, my creator, my rock, my redeemer. Amen.

This song came to mind as I was preparing my heart for worship.

I Give You My Heart

when the music fades
all is stripped away
and i simply come
longing just to bring
something that's of worth
that will bless your heart

i bring you more than a song
for a song in itself
is not what you have required
you search much deeper within
through the way things appear
you're looking into my heart

chorus
I'm coming back to the heart of worship
and it's all about you
It's all about you, Jesus
I'm sorry Lord for the thing i've made it
when it's all about you
it's all about you, Jesus

King of endless worth
no one could express
how much you deserve
though i'm weak and poor
all i have is yours
every single breath

chorus

This is my Friday

Saturday

1. Go to work 2:30 a.m.
2. Take AJ to get his Senior picture taken 11:00 a.m.
3. Go to Janitors job 2:00 p.m. Whenever I get done.
4. Get church cloths out and get ready to go to work again.
Leave for work at 10:00 p.m.

Sunday

1. Work until 7:30 a.m.
2. Be at church ASAP after work for Worship team practice
3. Lead Worship
4. Baby shower at 2:00 p.m. for my Niece-in-law.
5. Take AJ to Wrestling practice at U of M by 5:45 p.m.

I think this just about covers my whole weekend. The good thing is, I didn't have to work at my house cleaning job last Friday or today, my boss is on vaction. (Clap hands, jump up and down)

I can handle this I am still young. (Well my kids say I'm not but I am young at heart)

I'd better get my house cleaned and leave to meet my handsome husband for lunch. Meeting my husband for lunch today is the high-light of my weekend. He works two jobs so I don't see him much on the weekends. This is a special treat! Without my husband's love, help with the kids, and support I couldn't do all the things that I so much love to do. In God We Still Trust

Click on the bar to hear song. (I'm sure I have to be doing something totally corn ballish to have to click on this bar but I have no idea how else to do it)?

The song you are about to listen to, was sung at a Las Vegas Diamond Rio concert. Although Diamond Rio has never before done a statement song, they felt compelled to record "In God We Still Trust."

But guess what? Sadly, major radio stations wouldn't play it because it was considered politically incorrect. Consequently, the song was never released to the public.

So, America , see what you think. If this offering speaks to your heart and you feel you would like to share it with friends and loved ones, please do.

That beautiful City

John in the book of Revelation said, "I saw a new heaven and a new earth. I saw the Holy City, The New Jerusalem coming down out of heaven from God. The angel told John the words of God, "Listen! I am coming soon! I will bring rewards with me. I will repay each person for what he has done. I am the beginning of all things. And I am the end of all things. People who have obeyed me will be blessed. They will get to eat the fruit from the tree of life. They can go through the gates into the heavenly city.

This last book in the Bible tells us about that beautiful city. It is described as a very, very large city made of pure gold. Its twelve foundations are decorated with every kind of precious jewel. It has a high wall with twelve gates and each gate is made of a huge pearl. The names of the twelve apostles are written on the gates and the gates are open all the time; they never close.
The street is also made of gold that is clear like glass. There is no sun and there is no moon there. The glory of God and Jesus provide the light. Nighttime never comes.

Everything there is good because nothing evil will be able to enter in. There will be no more sadness and no more crying. What a beautiful place! Jesus said, "I have sent my angel to tell you these things. I am the bright, Morning Star. Yes, I am coming soon." Come Lord Jesus!

Think of the most beautiful place you have ever visited. Maybe it was a place in the mountains or in the forest. Maybe it was a place by the water. Think of the happiest time in your life. Heaven is all this and more. John describes it in terms of beauty that his readers can relate to.

I want to see that place someday, don't you? Let's live our lives in such a way that we will be prepared to enter it. Jesus can make us pure so we will be able to live there.

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
John 3:16

How beautiful Heaven must Be

We read of a place that's called heaven,
It's made for the pure and the free;
These truths in God's word He has given,
How beautiful heaven must be.

Chorus:
How beautiful heaven must be
Sweet home of the happy and free;
Fair haven of rest for the weary,
How beautiful heaven must be.

In heaven no drooping nor pining,
No wishing for elsewhere to be;
God's light is forever, there shining,
How beautiful heaven must be.

Chorus:
How beautiful heaven must be
Sweet home of the happy and free;
Fair haven of rest for the weary,
How beautiful heaven must be.

--- Instrumental ---

The angels so sweetly are singing,
Up there by the beautiful sea;
Sweet chords from their gold harps are ringing,
How beautiful heaven must be.

Chorus:
How beautiful heaven must be
Sweet home of the happy and free;
Fair haven of rest for the weary,
How beautiful heaven must be...

To Where You Are

I love this man's voice

Who can say for certain, maybe you're still here ...

I feel you all around me, your memory so clear.
Deep in the stillness I can hear you speak.

You're still an inspiration ~

can it be that you are mine forever, love.
And you are watching over me from up above.
Fly me up to where you are beyond the distant star
I wish upon tonight to see you smile,
if only for a while, to know you're there ~

a breath away's not far to where you are.

Are you gently sleeping here inside my dream
and isn't faith believing all power can't be seen.
As my heart holds you, just one beat away,
I cherish all you gave me every day.

Because you are mine, forever love,
watching me from up above.
And I believe that angel's grieve
as our love will live on and never leave.
Fly me up to where you are beyond the distant star
I wish upon tonight to see you smile,
if only for a while, to know you're there ~
a breath away's not far to where you are.
I know you're there ...

a breath away's not far to where you are.

Bible Trivia

Parents night is this Wednesday for our Awana clubs. I have some pretty versed parents so I had to try and make this Bible Trivia a little harder then the last two.

I'll post the answers tomorrow!

It will be a light week for me in Awana this week. I have a man coming in to play the guitar for me while I lead music. I thought this would be a little different this week. I have lead music with this man several times so it will be real easy. We are getting together tonight to go over the songs we will sing tomorrow evening.

I'm looking forward to meeting all of my girls parents.

Take the Time

The Coal Basket Bible

The story is told of an old man who lived on a farm in the mountains of Kentucky with his young grandson. Each morning, Grandpa was up early sitting at the kitchen table reading from his old worn-out Bible.

His grandson who wanted to be just like him tried to imitate him in any way he could.

One day the grandson asked, "Papa, I try to read the Bible just like you but I don't understand it, and what I do understand I forget as soon as I close the book. What good does reading the Bible do?"

The Grandfather quietly turned from putting coal in the stove and said,"Take this coal basket down to the river and bring back a basket of water."

The boy did as he was told, even though all the water leaked out before he could get back to the house. The grandfather laughed and said, "You will have to move a little faster next time," and sent him back to the river with the basket to try again.

This time the boy ran faster, but again the basket was empty before he returned home. Out of breath, he told his grandfather that it was "impossible to carry water in a basket," and he went to get a bucket instead. The old man said, "I don't want a bucket of water; I want a basket of water. You can do this. You're just not trying hard enough," and he went out the door to watch the boy try again. At this point, the boy knew it was impossible, but he wanted to show his grandfather that even if he ran as fast as he could, the water would leak out before he got far at all.

The boy scooped the water and ran hard, but when he reached his grandfather the basket was again empty. Out of breath, he said, "See Papa, it's useless!"

"So you think it is useless?" The old man said, "Look at the basket."

The boy looked at the basket and for the first time he realized that the basket looked different. Instead of a dirty old coal basket, it was clean.

"Son, that's what happens when you read the Bible. You might not understand or remember everything, but when you read it, it will change you from the inside out. That is the work of God in our lives. To change us from the inside out and to slowly transform us into the image of His son."

Take time to read a portion of God's word each day.

Comment from my Mom

I sent my mom all of your wonderful comments regarding her humor. This is what she email back. Plus, the Senior moment and dog pics are from Mom.

Lori,

I have such a great group that keep me laughing when I need to, so here are some more of the funnies I get from a friend from church and another that lives in NY. and some from a Pastor Wayne you remember him during the revival you sang at. :o)
Thanks for the nice blog you sent about me. You know how much you mean to me and how proud I am of you.
Love
Mom

Enjoy!

MELANIE (age 5) asked her Granny how old she was. Granny replied she was so old she didn't remember any more. Melanie said, "If you don't remember you have to look in the back of your panties. Mine say five to six ."

STEVEN (age 3) hugged and kissed his Mom goodnight. "I love you so much, that when you die I'm going to bury you outside my bedroom window."

BRITTANY (age 4) had an earache and wanted a painkiller. She tried in vain to take the lid off the bottle. Seeing her frustration, her Mom explained it was a childproof cap and she'd have to open it for her. Eyes wide with wonder, the little girl asked: "How does it know it's me?"

SUSAN (age 4) was drinking juice when she got the hiccups. "Please don't give me this juice again," she said, "It makes my teeth cough."

Drew (age 4) stepped onto the bathroom scale and asked: "How much do I cost?"

CLINTON (age 5) was in his bedroom looking worried. When his Mom asked what was troubling him, he replied, "I don't know what'll happen with this bed when I get married. How will my wife fit in?"

JAMES (age 4) was listening to a Bible story. His dad read: "The man named Lot was warned to take his wife and flee out of the city but his wife looked back and was turned to salt." Concerned, James asked: "What happened to the flea?"

TAMMY (age 4) was with her mother when they met an elderly, rather wrinkled woman her Mom knew. Tammy looked at her for awhile and then asked, "Why doesn't your skin fit your face?"

The Sermon Mom will never forget....
was this particular Sunday sermon...
"Dear Lord," the minister began, with arms extended toward heaven and a rapturous look on his upturned face. "Without you, we are but dust."
He would have continued but at that moment my very obedient daughter (who was listening!) leaned over to me and asked quite audibly in her shrill little girl voice, "Mommy, what is butt dust?"

This just goes to show, some days are diamonds; some days are butt dust!

Seniors Having Babies

Subject: Seniors Having Babies
Just in case any of you were contemplating having another baby.

With all the new technology regarding fertility recently, a 65-year-old woman was able to give birth to a baby.

When she was discharged from the hospital and went home, her relatives came to visit.

''May we see the new baby?" one asked.

"Not yet," said the mother. I'll make coffee and we can visit for awhile first."

Thirty minutes had passed, and another relative asked, "May we see the new baby now?"

"No, not yet," said the mother.

After another few minutes had elapsed, they asked again, "May we see the baby now?"

"No, not yet," replied the mother.

Growing very impatient, they asked, "Well, when can we see the baby?"

"WHEN HE CRIES!" she told them.

"WHEN HE CRIES?" they demanded to know why.

"Why do we have to wait until he CRIES?"

"BECAUSE, I forgot where I put him."
