Maybe things will slow down next Week

My week seemed to have gotten pretty full after my slow start on Monday. Tuesday my mom sent me an email telling me my Step-father's brother-in-law passed away. I knew I had to go to the viewing for my Step-dad's sack. He has been in our lives since I was 6 years old. I just felt like I needed to be supportive at this time. My step-dad has been pretty sick himself. I just felt like I needed to be their.

He was very grateful that my husband and I came. My brother and his wife showed up about 15 minutes after we did. My step-dad and my mom took us around and introduced us to everyone; they seemed like very proud parents, even though both my brother and I are in our 40's. My mom sent me an email this morning telling me how grateful she was that we took our time up for my Step-dad. How could I not go and show support to a man that put up with me for all of those years. : )

My morning flew by! I had to finish up my council time message, prepare songs to lead the girls tonight and clean my house. Before I knew it, it was time for me to head off to work.

Awana went well! I loved seeing the girls again and hearing about their holiday. One of the little girls in my group has a crush on a boy from her church. Instead of giving out so much candy to the girls, I bought some girly items such as; hair clips, head bands, cute little pony tail holders ect. . Anyway, one of the girls thinks if she makes herself look cute enough this boy will notice her. I try not to promote adorning yourself at 9 years of age but I did show her how she could do her hair to make herself look really cute. I pulled her hair up in a pony tail on top of her head. She has really cute curly hair so I pulled some of the curls out on the sides; they fell down around her face. She looked so cute! For Christmas I gave the girls some lip gloss and hand cream for Christmas. She said, with the things I gave her for Christmas and now her hair this boy just had to like her. This young lady doesn't remind me of one of the girls that would even care. She always comes prepared for Awana and, well, I don't know what else to say. She just doesn't remind me of the type that would care. I shouldn't have encouraged her but she is just the sweetest little girl.

Tomorrow, I have to get to church early to copy the Worship music for our worship team singers. (This is one of my jobs) I then will be going to see Jeremy and Terra for the morning until I have to head off to work.

I have Worship team at 5:50 p.m. tomorrow evening and practice with Joe and Rebecca after that. Then off to work at 10:00 p.m. That doesn't leave me much time to blog tomorrow so I thought I'd stay up and post tonight.

Friday is going to be another busy day. I clean Kent and Elizabetta's house in the early a.m. It's off to my Motor route at 12:30 p.m and home as fast as I so my twin’s best friends can come over and spend the night. Paul and Matthew's parent's were at the wedding I sang at on Saturday so I ask if their boy's could spend the night on Friday. It has been a few weeks since they have been over.

I just have to work my motor route and my church cleaning job on Saturday so that won't be too bad.

Well, off to bed with this old body. I have to make deserts for Jeremy and Terra before I head off to church in the morning to make my copies.

I think I got a 100 on the Bible Trivia.
Mrs. Jim does copying the orchestra music for our church orchestra. It takes a lot of your time doesn't it.

Have you told the dog food diet joke before? I've read it someplace and I though maybe it was from you.
It is always funny. I can never remember the punch line until I read it.

Hi Jim,

No the Dog joke wasn't from me before. My mom just sent it to me a few days ago.

Maria,

Thank you!

Blessings to you both,

Lori

Hi Lori, Thanks for "worrying" about me! It's nice to be home again and I see that you haven't slowed down a bit!

Boy, Lori. Every time I read a post like this I wish I had even half your energy. Honestly, you are always so busy!

I love the profile photo.

You are just amazing Lori. I marvel that you have so much work to do and still make time for the people in your life. That is so commendable. You're a special lady.

Dot,

I am so thankful that you made it back safely from your trip.

Barb,

I am still praying for your husband's full recovery and for strength for you.

Linda,

I'm really not that amazing! Just think of my Monday post were I was bored and lonely because my children went back to school. If don't stay busy I just go crazy. I choose to stay busy (as my husband puts it so well to me).

Donna,

Thank you! I pray you have a blessed weekend too.
