What Shall I Give Thee, Master?

What Shall I Give Thee, Master?
David Brandt Berg

Today Lord, I give thee my all, everything I have is Yours Lord.

What shall I give Thee, Master?
Thou Who didst die for me!
How can I give less than give of my best,
When Thou hast given all to me!

What shall I give Thee, Master?
Thou Who didst die for me!
How can I give less than all of my best,
I must give all to Thee!
—Homer W. Grimes

I want to give you my best Lord, I want to give you my praise! I will worship only you!

This is my desire
To honor You
Lord with all my heart
I worship You
All I have within me
I give You praise
All that I adore is in You

Lord, I give You my heart
I give You my soul
I live for You alone
Every Breath I take
Every moment I'm awake
Lord, have Your way in me

Psalm 100
Shout for joy to the LORD, all the earth. Worship the LORD with gladness; come before him with joyful songs. Know that the LORD is God. It is he who made us, and we are his [a] ; we are his people, the sheep of his pasture. Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name. For the LORD is good and his love endures forever; his faithfulness continues through all generations.

Psalm 138:1
I will praise thee with my whole heart: before the gods will I sing praise unto thee.

Psalm 149:3
Let them praise his name in the dance: let them sing praises unto him with the timbrel and harp.

Psalm 150
Praise the LORD! Praise God in His sanctuary; Praise Him in His mighty expanse. Praise Him for His mighty deeds; Praise Him according to His excellent greatness. Praise Him with trumpet sound; Praise Him with harp and lyre. Praise Him with timbrel and dancing; Praise Him with stringed instruments andpipe. Praise Him with loud cymbals; Praise Him with resounding cymbals. Let everything that has breath praise the LORD. Praise the LORD!

Linda and byhisgracealone,

I need to stay close to the Lord each day. If I journal what is on my heart it helps remind me of this.

I found the words to an old hymn on your site - "What Shall I Give Thee, Master" by Homer Grimes. I heard him play and sing it in 1954 as he was my pastor and I came to Christ under his ministry. I was a lonely, sin-sick 21-year-old sailor and when I became a child of God through Christ I soon dedicated my life to Him and have been serving Him for over 50 years. Thanks for including the wonderful words of this old hymn. May God bless you beyond words.

Hi Lori:
I found your 2007 blog while looking for words to Homer W Grimes song:
Jesus Gives me a song (Refrain)or
In sin I wandered Seeking a Song (first line)
My father used to sing this song and it has great words and music.
I've not een able to find them yet. Any ideas?
Any help appreciated.
God bless,
Bryan
