He is Lord of All

My self pity party over my daughter moving seems so petty after reading about the Virginia shooting rampage. The cares of this world seem like just that, silly cares of this world. My prayers go out to all the victims, friends and families of this horrible, unnecessary loss of innocent life.

We have only one person we can go to for comfort and healing at this time "Jesus the Lord of all".

Jesus Christ is the Lord, and He reigns supreme over all!

How many acknowledge this truth? Most will not -- The Lord remains the almighty, He is the invincible Ruler of the universe.

What took place Monday was so awful! Will the people of this world turn to God or blame God for this act? I can only pray they will turn to Him instead of blaming Him. People will ask how God could allow something like this to happen.

We have taken God out of our public schools. WE ban His truth and outlaw prayer, but we will some how blame God for what has happened. The Lord, who made the earth and all its creatures, continues to guard, sustain and use all things for His own eternal purposes. I don't know why that young man killed all of those innocent people? One thing I do know, it wasn't God's fault. We don't want God in our schools but He is the one that gets blamed when things like this happen. God has given us all a free will, which we all want and use daily.

Scriptures that I think support what I am saying:

“Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.” (James 1:17)

“Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man: But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed. Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death.” (James 1:13-15)

God is still the "Lord of heaven and earth" -- our eternal Maker and Provider who "gives to all life, breath, and all things." Acts 17:24-25

I pray all of the victims will find comfort in the Lord at this time.

Where else can we turn for comfort? He alone is our hope, our sufficiency, our fountain of wisdom, our source strength, our very life -- both now and forever!

“Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves have received from God.” (2 Corinthians 1:3 & 4)

"Oh, the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are His judgments and His ways past finding out! 'For who has known the mind of the Lord? Or who has become His counselor? Or who has first given to Him and it shall be repaid to him?' For of Him and through Him and to Him are all things, to whom be glory forever." Romans 11:33-36

Wonderful Lord, awesome Master, I surrender myself to Thee. Please comfort the family and friends that have lost loved ones in this tragic slaying. Heal our Nation once again I pray. I give You my heart, all that I am and have. Only You, My glorious Lord and Maker, can comfort these people right now, I turn this all over to You.

I want to thank You dearest Lord for listening to my prayers.

It's so sad.
But it will all end when Our Lord returns!

Lori, I am sorry you miss your daughter. You have a right to feel that way. It is not easy but God will give what's needed, when it's needed. :-)

God's Grace.

Getting older and going watching my children become adults is so hard. I love them and want the best for them yet I am selfish and want them with me. (Tear) Yet in the same breath I have my baby girl alive and well and all of those people have lost their loved ones. Like Neva said, "God helps us keep things in perspective".

Thank you dear friend,

Thank you and yes you are very correct with you comment "God helps us keep things in perspective" Amen!

Deepak Gopi,

How true your words are dear brother!

Thank you! not only for your comment but for your prayers. I will admit, I had a very bad day yesterday. It was hard to walk past my daughter room and see it so different. I packed up all of her things and moved her brother in to his own room. He has had to share a room with his brother his whole life. He now will have his own room for a few months until he leave for the Navy in August.

Blessings to you my dear sister in Christ,

ps. I talked to my dad yesterday and he is so happy to have Rebecca their. Rebecca called last night but we were gone to Church so I wasn't able to talk to her. I'll post how she is doing soon.

Thank you! I'm doing better today. I got to talk to Rebecca yesterday, she is loving Texas. I think it might be a little hot for her liking.
