God created some of the smallest animals on the fifth day of creation when He filled the waters with microscopic life, and created the winged insects.
The term "winged bird" in Genesis 2:21 means anything with wings, including insects. God created more than 800,000 kinds of insects.
Not only are there many different kinds of insects, but there are many insects of each kind. For every perosn on the earth you can probably find one million insects!
There is no place on earth you can go to get away from insects. They live on all kinds of land, in fresh water, and some even live in the ocean.
The smallest and simplest of animals are so small they cannot be seen without a microscope. They are known as portozoans.
God created about 30,000 different kinds of portozoans.
Our God is in charge of the vast universe of spinning stars and planets, but He is also the God of "small things" - small animals, small details and small problems. He cares about us!

There sure are alot of insects out there without a doubt.
Ty for visiting my site
Sometimes I wonder why God created the housefly and mosquitoes and a few others. I'm sure he must have had a reason.
Doing the research for this is sort of fun. I never knew about all the insects.
Dot,
I am with you on some of these insects.
Mosquitoes are my least favorite of all of them. Well, anything that bites me and leaves me with pain and itching.
Thanks for sharing us about insects.
I do appreciate your stopping by.
Very smart and wonderful blog. I like this kind of story. Thanks!!!
I love the beauty of the detail one can observe on insects. And of course, I love butterflies! I'm hoping to buy a "macro" lens for my camera so I can get those up- close shots. This is a really uplifting series of posts on creation.
What a wonderful fun filled factual accounting of God's insects. You did a great job! I especially was amazed at the ration of people to insects. Thanks for your sweet comment on my blog. :) You have a terrific blog!
Pamera,
thank you for your very kind and encouraging words.
