I'll never Forget

Joshua would have turned twenty-two yesterday! I pulled his picture book out and looked through it; as I do each year. It sure doesn’t seem like it has been 22 years since I had him. My husband stayed home from work yesterday but we never mentioned Joshua. My husband got the kids off to school and believe it or not, I stayed in bed until 10:00 a.m. I have been a bit tired lately. I felt almost normal when I woke up. God has healed our hearts over the years but you never forget about your children.
My boy's and daddy carving pumpkins.

Jimmy, John and Bo's carved pumpkins.

We had a bit of a busy evening. Boaz had soccer practice. While he was at practice my husband and I had to run and get paint for my Awana car. The paint he bought last week from Rider's hobbie shop was dried out. The race is on Saturday so we really needed to get the paint so my car will be ready. Boaz is our last Bo in Awana; this is his last year to race as an Awana clubber. After getting Boaz from soccer, we spent the rest of the evening carving pumpkins. Jimmy, John and Bo carved their pumpkins; while daddy helped. I got the job of picking through the pumpkin yuck for seeds. We finally got all done around 10:00 p.m. We had a fun time creating more memories.

What a precious site to see all those Blessings (boys) carving the pumpkins.
I have been upset for days thinking I am missing someone's birthday. Lori how our minds never forget.
It was Joshua. I too remember that day and how I wanted to watch him as I had done before while you worked. I too enjoyed his precious smile.
He is enjoying his days each and everyone of them with Jesus. Someday we will get to see him again!
Thank You for posting this I now know whose birthday I have had in my mind.

God Bless You!
Love

I agree with your Mama...such precious moments with your beloved!!! Your story of losing Joshua reminded me of a sad story of my friend's elder sister. She was carrying twins, but something went wrong on the 6th month, so they had to get them out.

The baby boy died right away, whereas they tried to keep the baby girl strong...they put her in incubation for 3 whole months, but still she wasn't strong enough to live. :-((((

Until now they still try to have a baby, but haven't succeeded yet. :-((((

Here in Finland it's been snowing again, so it feels so X-massey already he he he...

Sorry to hear about your tragedy but like you mama said you can have comfort in the fact that he is with Jesus and waiting on your arrival.

Those are great pumpkins. I loved the shot in the dark.
