Worshipfest October 28th, 2007 It is all for "You Lord"

I'm sitting here preparing for the Worshipfest 2007, I'm printing out all the word's to the songs our worship singer's will be leading that evening. Funny thing is, I'm not going to be able to participate in it. Sometimes, God has a way of putting our lives in perspective. I LOVE singing praises to our AWESOME KING!

My boy graduates from bootcamp the same weekend as the Worshipfest. This summer, I put together survey's for our congregation to tell us what their favorite songs are. I tallied them all up for our Worship Leader, so he could come up with the order of worship for the evening. I helped come up with the date for the Worshipfest. I knew Aaron was leaving the second week of August, knowing this would give me a few weeks after, what I thought would be his graduation.

If you read back over my blog, you will see, that it stormed the week that Aaron was suppose to fly to Chicago for the Navy bootcamp, his flight was cancelled three times that week, so he was stuck in Troy. This delayed his departure by a week! By the time he got to bootcamp he missed the Division he was suppose to be in and had to wait for more recruits to come. This put graduation back three weeks, which just so happened to be the same weekend as the Worshipfest. God knows my passion, but He also has given me a wonderful family to love and to be the mother of six wonderful children. As I am learning, this has to be my number one passion. I serve the Lord, but I need to take care of the family He has given me. The Lord is teaching me, growing me and molding me, into the wife and mother He wants me to be.

I thank you Lord for showing me what you would have for me to do!

I still want to promote our Worshipfest! I think this is going to be a great night, with our without me. The man goal is that the Lord be Glorified! It is all about HIM not about me.

Here is all the information concerning the Worshipfest, if anyone lives close to our church. This is your Invite, come and enjoy a wonderful night singing praises and worshipping our AWESOME Lord and Savior.

  2. I love every one of the songs you listed! If I was close to your church, I'd surely come -- it sounds like it will be wonderful. Lately, I've had some "timing" issues also where things didn't go the way I had planned. I have to just tell myself that some things are just out of my control. God is in control and His purpose will prevail.
