I want to introduce you to my mom, her name is Diane.
Happy Birthday Mom! You don't look a day over 29.
I sure have enjoyed all of those graduation parties. I have gotten to see you lots lately. I'll be over tonight around 7:00 p.m.
Dearest Mom,
I wanted to take a minute and thank you for all the wonderful things that you have done for me in my life. I won't be able to write them all down so I am going to mention a few that come to my mind many times a year.
I want to thank you for helping me raise Bre. Without you I would not have finished school and been able to take all of those accounting classes. It helped me get the job that I loved.
I want to thank you for loving me enough to get me away from the bad crowd I found myself hanging around as a senior in High School. Using "Tough Love" and making me break free of that crowd, Grounding me and having me quit my job helped me become the person I am today.
I want to thank you for taking me to church at age 17 so I could be introduced to our awesome Lord and Savior.
I want to thank you for being there for me when Josh died. You helped me and Bret get through a very difficult time in our lives.
I want to thank you for watching Becca and Aaron so I could work and help out my family at a time in our lives that we needed it the most. (also for potty training Becca and Aaron, oh how I hated that job, Hee, Hee0
I want to thank you for keeping all of us together as Grandma tried to do. Having over at least 50 people (all of which are your Children, Grandchildren and Great Grandchilden)in your home each Christmas, it just amazes me. I love every minute of it and always will.
I also want to thank you for just being you; A loving, kind, beautiful Godly woman.
I love you lots and I want the world to know what a wonderful mom that I have.
Love your daughter,
Lori
Like I said before; you and your mom look FANTASTIC.

I am so Thankful you found yourself and that I was able to be there, knowing how I was not a perfect Mom but God through Jesus helped us through our lives to change us from who we were to who we are now.

ReplyDeleteVery lovely post.
ReplyDeleteLori, your mom is a wonderful lady. We all should tell our moms thanks for what all they have done, like you did it. Just whenever we think of something to thank them for.
ReplyDeleteI really never told my mom things like that, except on Mothers day and then the card said most of it.
..
Wow! She really does look young. What a lucky woman you are to have such a loving and close relationship with your mother. You are very blessed.
ReplyDeleteThank you for all your wonderful comments regarding my mom. We went out to see her on her Birthday and took her a cake and some gifts. I think my mom is pretty special.
ReplyDeleteThanks mom for the comment and also the email from you and your friend.
