Mini-Stroke

School is closed again today because of the cold weather in our home town. The kids are going to be very happy when they wake up.

My Step-dad is in the hospital, they think he had a mini-stroke. I am so very worried about him. He was supposed to have surgery Wednesday to figure out what is going on with his lungs. I don't know what is going to happen now. I pray this is not the start of something very bad. I couldn't sleep last night worrying about him. I have to turn this all over to the Lord.

Time 12:17 p.m.

My mom just called, my Step-dad has had three mini-stokes. The next two weeks will be the most critical for him. My mom is so very strong; I wish I could be half the woman she is. She is so strong in her faith; she has put it all in the Lord's hands. My Step-dad will not be able to have lung surgery; they said he will not make it through the surgery. I do praise the Lord they found this out through these mini-strokes before it was to late.

  1. Sounds to me like your step-dad was fortunate! First he got the wake-up call that something is going on in there that needs attention! They found that before he had a major stroke! And they found it before his lung surgery, which could have caused complications! Pray and let this one be God's worry!

  3. Your step-Dad is in my prayers. And your Mom. How does she persevere? She must be a very strong believer. You're so blessed to be able to learn from her. :~)

  4. Hi, Lori, I know exactly where you are at with your step dad..my father has had a series of strokes this past year, unfortunatly one was major and it has left him not able to walk...he also has advanced dementia and went from being in a hostel accommodation to a Nursing home..the saddest thing is he believes he can walk and has to be strapped into a chair to stop him from causing major harm to him self..

My prayers are with you all
