Grinding Brakes!

I ended up not having the time to post about the things I blogged about yesterday, due to the fact my front brakes were grinding by the end of my motor route. I had to fix them before I went to bed last night, today I have a full day planned out.

I am now about to get ready to take my kids to Bob Evans for breakfast and then we will be off to Jungle Java until 12:00 p.m. That will give me enough time to get my kids home so I can make it to work by 1:00 p.m. to do my motor route. Tonight, we are going to have people over for dinner and a movie.

That's my day! I'll have to wait until tomorrow for more journaling.

  2. Dot,

I know this sounds really crazy but yes, I do change my front brakes myself. I have to change them often. It would cost me a arm and a leg if I had to pay someone to change them once a month.

My husband taught me how to change them about 2 years ago. I don't mind doing them at all. I promise I am not some super woman or anything like that. I have a motor route so in order to make money off of it you find ways to do things yourself. It is something I can do and I like doing it. It was a bit cold last night but my husband and my son did come out and put take the bolts off one side and put the tires back on for me. I'm not real strong in my arms and the foot thing doesn't always work real well trying to get the tire high enough to put on the rim.

  3. Bob Evans...yummmm! We don't have that chain here in Canada so every time I cross over into Niagara, NY, I always go have breakfast there:-) Love their biscuits and gravy!! I think it's great that you can change the brakes by yourself...I've never tried! lol

  4. I'm trying to figure out if you EVER sit still, Lori. Nope. I think not. Good grief, girl. What I wouldn't give for even half your energy. :-)

I hope you have a great weekend and maybe even get to relax a little.

  6. Hi Lori -- I'm real proud of you. You are a whole lot better than most powder puff mechanics I've known. They add and change oil, check the battery, add water, and keep the tires inflated. None does a brake job!
It is real easy to sit and do blogs when we should be up and doing things that shouldn't be neglected. Good girl over there again!
