I posted on Thursday that I was going to go help a family on Friday make meals for the month due to the mom having MS. I have to say, I received such a blessing by doing this.
I got their around 6:00 p.m. Karen (woman with MS) was sitting in a chair. (Her husband gets her dressed and puts her in a chair before he leaves for work in the morning). Karen's parents are home on leave as missionary right now, so they have been sitting with her and the girls during the day while David is at work.
David and Karen have three children; two little girls, a five year old adopted little girl and a 4 year old little girl, plus one 11 year old son.
After Karen had Devin, they told her she could no longer have any more children. They adopted Morgan 5 years ago. Doctors can be wrong, at the time the adoption was going through they found out Karen was pregnant with Megan. This caused Karen's MS to really get a lot worse.
Back to my blessing; as I was preparing the food, David came home from work. This was the sweetest thing I have every saw. He went up to Karen and greeted her with a kiss and stood close and held her hands, he talked to her for a while. After a little bit David put her in the wheel chair and brought her into the kitchen with us. (There were 5 of us ladies making the meals) As I was preparing the second dish, their son and two daughters came up and we all started talking. I asked Devin if he would like to help me. His parents said he loved to cook and did some cooking for them.
He didn’t treat her like she had a handicap. You could see how much he loved her in how he interacted with her. It truly blessed my heart. What an example this family is to me.
My 28 year old son would do the same thing when he was Devin’s age. He still loves to cook. He watches the cooking shows on T.V. and comes up with wonderful things to make.
Devin helped me with the next two dishes. I got to goof with the two little girls the whole time, and make Karen and David laugh. I told the little ones not to tell my husband that I was following a recipe. I told them my husband thinks I can't cook. Little Morgan looked at me and said; "I won't even tell my Grandma and Grandpa". I got a real chuckle out of the girls.
The interaction between Karen and David was just so sweet. He would rub her neck and would hold her hand. He treated her with so much love. It truly blessed my heart to be able to help this family.
The girls asked me if I could spend the night, but I told them I had to go home to my family.
Sometimes when you think you are doing the ministering, you are really being ministered to.

You will like this if you were born before the 1980's
A friend of mine sent me this via email. I tried to fix the line breaks and not retype the whole thing. I could relate to a lot of this. I got a good chuckle out of it. My children would survive some of these.

First, we survived being born to mothers who smoked and/or drank while they carried us.
They took aspirin, ate blue cheese dressing, tuna from a can, and didn't get tested for diabetes.
Then after that trauma, our baby cribs were covered with bright colored lead-based paints.
We had no childproof lids on medicine bottles, doors or cabinets and when we rode our bikes, we had no helmets, not to mention, the risks we took hitchhiking.
As children, we would ride in cars with no seat belts or air bags.
Riding in the back of a pick up on a warm day was always a special treat.
We drank water from the garden hose and NOT from a bottle.
We shared one soft drink with four friends, from one bottle and NO ONE actually died from this.
We ate cupcakes, white bread and real butter and drank soda pop with sugar in it, but we weren't overweight because......WE WERE ALWAYS OUTSIDE PLAYING!!
We would leave home in the morning and play all day, as long as we were back when the streetlights came on.
No one was able to reach us all day. And we were O.K.
We would spend hours building our go-carts out of scraps and then ride down the hill, only to find out we forgot the brakes. After running into the bushes a few times, we learned to solve the problem.
We did not have Playstations, Nintendos, X-boxes, no video games at all, no 99 channels on cable, no video tape movies, no surround sound, no cell phones,
no personal computers, no Internet or Internet chat rooms........WE
HAD FRIENDS and we went outside and found them! (NO BLOGGING, YIKES)
We fell out of trees, got cut, broke bones and teeth and there were no
lawsuits from these accidents.
We ate worms and mud pies made from dirt, and the worms did not live in us forever.
We were given BB guns for our 10th birthdays, made up games with sticks and tennis balls and although we were told it would happen, we did not put out very many eyes.
We rode bikes or walked to a friend's house and knocked on the door or rang the bell, or just yelled for them!
Little League had tryouts and not everyone made the team. Those who didn't had to learn to deal with disappointment. Imagine that!!
The idea of a parent bailing us out if we broke the law was unheard of.
They actually sided with the law!
This generation has produced some of the best risk-takers, problem solvers
and inventors ever!
The past 50 years have been an explosion of innovation and new ideas.
We had freedom, failure, success and responsibility, and we
learned....HOW TO DEAL WITH IT ALL!!!
And YOU are one of them!

It turned out to be a good Day!
My breakfast with my dad and step-mom went well. We sat at the restaurant for 2 1/2 hours talking. We talked a lot about my growing up years. My dad wanted to know just how much I remembered about my childhood before he moved out.
My parents separated when I was 6 years old. I would go see my dad every other weekend. When I was 13 years old, my parents divorced and my dad moved to Texas. I have seen him a little over a hand full of times since than. He asked a lot of questions about my brother. I wanted him to understand him. My brother was 4 years old when my dad moved out. When we would come back from seeing my dad, my brother would cry so very hard. It still brings tears to my eyes all these years latter. My brother never had the father role model. There was no one to play ball with him or go fishing. No one to just do the things dads and sons would do together. I tried to always protect my brother from harm. I still get broken hearted when something goes wrong in his family or with him. I asked my dad to please give him extra attention. I told him I was at the point in my life I don't need the attention, but my brother does. I think I got my dad to understand. Divorce is so very hard on the children. I don't want to make excuses for my brother; we all have to make a choice how we are going to live. My brother is a successful business man, but I can still see and hear the affects of the divorce.
I finished all the school shopping for my boy’s tonight, except for school supplies. We have open houses on Monday so we will find out what they need.
Shopping ended up being so much fun. I told the kids we were going to split up. 2 boys would go with dad and 2 boys would go with me. My twelve year old boy (one of the twins) asked me if I was kidding. He said "Does dad really know how to pick out school close"? My husband was right in the front seat, but it was as if he wasn't with us. I informed him that dad was a good dresser and he would be able to pick out some good clothes, John looked at me and asked if he could please go with me. It was pretty funny! His dad said we would all shop together!
The exciting thing is I am done!

Corn Casserole
My sister-in-law made this corn casserole for my nieces wedding. Everyone loved it including my children.
1 can whole kernel corn
1 can cream style corn

Bread crumbs & parmesan cheese for the topping.
Mix ingredients together in a 2 quart casserole dish. Sprinkle top with bread crumbs & parmesan cheese. Bake at 375 for 45 minutes.
This is a great side dish for any occasion. This would be a great dish to make for a pot luck dinners.

Light and Easy Chocolate Cake
I am sorry it has taken me so long to post this. Thank you for the emails requesting a copy of my husband's Chocolate cake recipe.
Preheat the oven to 325 degrees F. Lightly grease bundt pan
In a blender, mix until very smooth:
1 (10 oz.) pkg. reduced-fat firm silken tofu
1 cup sugar or Sucanat
1/2 cup water, coffee, or coffee substitute
6 tbsp. unsweetened cocoa powder
1 Tbsp. vinegar
1 Tbsp. vanilla
In a medium bowl, mix together:
1 1/4 cups unbleached flour or whole wheat pastry flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
Pour the contents of the blender into the bowl, and mix together briefly but thoroughly. Scrape into prepared bundt pan.
Bake about 45 minutes, do not over bake. Cool on a rack.

Pour into a heavy, medium saucepan, and stir constantly over medium eat with a wooden spoon, scraping the bottom and sides often, for about 7 minutes until thick and glossy,
Remove the pan from the heat, and add
1 tsp. vanilla extract
Beat the mixture with a wire whisk to remove any lumps.
Cool the mixture completely, stirring occasionally. You can refrigerate it if it's made ahead of time, but bring it to room temperature before frosting the cake. Beat until smooth again.

Rejoice in the Lord Always
There is a lady at my church, she has MS. I have known this woman for 13 years. When she first started attending our church she could walk. She than got pregnant with her son 2 years later and was falling all the time. This is how they found out she had MS. During her pregnancy they had to put her in a wheel chair so she would not hurt herself or the baby. (She never complained, never asked why me) after the birth of her son, she never walked again. She has been in a wheel chair now for 11 years. This woman is only 40. I have never heard this woman every say "why me". She is now at the point; her husband has to have someone come in to talk care of her and her children. This woman always has a smile on her face. She is not robbed of joy. She told me she is willing to go through whatever the Lord has for her. She doesn't worry about it or complain.
I complain because I am getting old and I can't see my caller ID on my cell phone. All I have to do is go get glasses. This woman is bound to this wheel chair, not only that she can't take care of herself or her family. Yet she is always full of joy not worry for what will happen to her.
I am going to go help This family on Friday prepare enough meals to get them through a month. this helps her husband to be able to come home from work and just heat something up for the family.
Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! 5Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things. Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me—put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you.
Phillippians 4:4-9
Spiritually, worry is Wrong Thinking of the Mind and Wrong Feeling of the Heart. The heart and the mind are the two areas that create worry. It's wrong thinking and wrong feeling about circumstances, people and things... These things can rob us of joy.
I love Philippians 4. It has to be my favorite chapter in all the Bible. It is so upbeat and positive. Paul is rejoicing all over the place. Even when Paul addresses a problem in verses 2 and 3 between two ladies, Euodia and Syntyche, he does it so lovingly. Don't you wish everyone would learn to correct our mistakes this lovingly? Paul "entreats" these ladies to agree in the Lord and he asks the church to help them. I suspect these women were missing out on right prayer, right thinking and/or right living. They were robbing themselves of a Secure mind. And they weren't ready to Rejoice.
I plead with Euodia and I plead with Syntyche to agree with each other in the Lord. Yes, and I ask you, loyal yokefellow, help these women who have contended at my side in the cause of the gospel, along with Clement and the rest of my fellow workers, whose names are in the book of life. Philippians 4:2-3
Philippians 4 is often called the PEACE chapter. James 4 is called the WAR chapter. If you look in James 4 you'll see the contrast. He explains the causes of war are: 1) Wrong PRAYING (verse 3), 2)Wrong THINKING (verse 8), and 3) Wrong LIVING (verse 7). That's not too surprising is it? If right praying, right thinking and right living are going to bring about peace and security of mind, then it's not surprising that the opposite would bring about war and unrest and fightings among us.
As I come to the end of this post. I want to remember, I need to have right thinking, and right praying. (Not selfish) I want to live my life the right way. I want and need victory over worry and the lack of joy that goes along with it.

Time with the Kids

I spent the evening grocery shopping, once a month I travel to Ohio to grocery shop. They have a store called Aldis were I can get a lot more for my money. With 5 children in the home I try to shop wisely.
After I got home we all (the boy's and my husband and I) put the grocery's up, and sat down to watch RV (It just came out on DVD) Robin Williams is a funny guy. I always enjoy the movies he is in.
Today I am taking the kids to Jungle Java for a little fun. This is a big play area the boys like to go to. (Like McDonald land for bigger kids)Us mom's can sit and drink coffee and chat while the kids play. We are going out to breakfast at Bob Evans and off to play for the morning before I have to go to work.
Does God need us?
God doesn't need us, but He does give us examples in the Bible that we should follow. He created us to Glorify Him, to love Him and enjoy Him forever. If we trust God and follow Him, by accepting His gift of salvation, we will spend eternity in Paradise with Him. We can and will delight in the wonders He is preparing for us there.
God wants each of us to...
Believe in Jesus Christ and follow Him (John 6:28-29), and tell others about Him (Psalm 96:2-3; Proverbs 11:30; Ezekiel 3:18).
Obey His commands, avoiding all sin. God knows everything we do, and He will judge us for everything that we do, and everything we fail to do (Ecclesiastes 12:13-14).
Love God and each other. "'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.' This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: 'Love your neighbor as yourself'" (Matthew 22:37-39).
Be humble in our attitude and actions toward God and others, not proud (Micah 6:6-8; Psalm 138:6; Proverbs 22:4; Isaiah 2:12-17; Matthew 5:5, 20:26-28; james 4:10).
God tells us in the Bible, His Word, what He wants us to do, how He wants us to live our lives. He provides for us valuable information about how to live our lives, what to do and what not to do. My Evening

My children all went to the circus last night with their Grandma. They had a great time seeing all of the circus acts, eating popcorn and cotton candy. It took them about an hour after getting home to tell me all about their evening, even down to what each of them had to eat. I love listening to them talk.
My husband and I were taken out to dinner at Mac's restaurant last night. We had a great time with these people. We are just getting to know them; I am really enjoying their friendship. I Grilled chicken with a basil sauce with wild rice, Ice tea to drink and a wonderful dinner salad with Raspberry vinaigrette dressing.
We closed the restaurant talking and laughing.

This is my 16 year old son; He has a wonderful sense of humor. (Just like his mom)
He will be a senior in high school this year. He has many interest. He likes to read, play video games, computer games, board games. I guess he likes to play.
He is a wrestler, and a football player; I wrote earlier this summer about the camp we sent him to.
Aaron has become a good student. He received a 3.38 grade point average on his last report card.
He will be going into the Navy after High School next summer

When I stopped the bus to pick up Chris for preschool, I noticed an older woman hugging him as he left the house. "Is that your

Grandma's Colors
I didn't know if my granddaughter had learned her colors yet, so I decided to test her. I would point out something and ask what color it was. She would tell me, and she was always correct, but it was fun
for me, so I continued.
At last, she headed for the door, saying sagely, "Grandma, I think you should try to figure out some of these yourself!"
Freckles
An elderly woman and her little grandson, whose face was sprinkled with bright freckles, spent the day at the zoo. Lots of children were waiting in line to get their cheeks painted by a local artist who was decorating them with tiger paws. "You've got so many freckles, there's no place to paint!" a girl in the line said to the little fella.
Embarrassed, the little boy dropped his head. His grandmother knelt down next to him. "I love your freckles. When I was a little girl I always wanted freckles," she said, while tracing her finger across the child's cheek. "Freckles are beautiful."
The boy looked up, "Really?"
"Of course," said the grandmother. "Why, just name me one thing that's prettier than freckles."
The little boy thought for a moment, peered intensely into his grandma's face, and softly whispered, "Wrinkles."
Water Gun
When my three-year-old son opened the birthday gift from his grandmother, he discovered a water pistol. He squealed with delight and headed for the nearest sink. I was not so pleased. I turned to Mom and said, "I'm surprised at you. Don't you remember how we used to drive you crazy with water guns?"
Mom smiled and then replied....."I remember."
All my Grandchildren

I was blessed to be able to watch my grandchildren last night so my son and daughter-in-law could go to dinner and the movies.
If I had known how wonderful it would be to have grandchildren, I'd have had them first.
My granddaughter is 5 months old. My goodness is she a little doll. (I know I am bias)I have a funny little story about Jenna-benna. A few months back I went with my daughter-in-law to her orthodontist appointment, they wanted to see Jenna. The orthodontist was saying how beautiful she was... She than asked me who she took after. (I knew she meant my son or my daughter-in-law) I said me!! She wasn't laughing and said I meant your son or daughter-in-law? I thought I was funny!!!
I have a three year old grandson; He kept me laughing all night. He told how dad grounded him and his brother for fighting. I got all the details. He loves gum a lot!! I love gum a lot too! I was setting at the kitchen table holding Jenna and talking to my grandson and our neighbor girl. Ethan said, "Na Na, if my Gram chews gum she has to take her teeth out. He pulled on his teeth like he was trying to take them out. I don't think Gram would like for him to share such stories, but I thought it was very funny." I couldn’t help but laugh.

God the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit
This post is for greenspot or anyone else wondering about the Trinity.
I am going to try to explain this to you as clearly as I can. I am not a Bible scholar by any step of the imagination. I want to answer your questions with Scripture.
The Trinity is the hardest thing for people to understand. I have put together some verses on this subject. It is crucial for us to properly understand what God is like, how He relates to us, and how we should relate to Him. But it is also something that raises many difficult questions. How can God be both one and three? Is the Trinity a contradiction? If Jesus is God, why do the Gospels record instances where He prayed to God?
While we cannot fully understand everything about the Trinity (or anything else), it is possible to answer questions like these and come to a solid grasp of what it means for God to be three in one. My goal is for you to understand what the Bible says about this.
John 1:1 - "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God."
John 1:14 - "And the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, glory as of the only begotten from the Father, full of grace and truth."
John 5:18 - "For this cause therefore the Jews were seeking all the more to kill Him, because He not only was breaking the Sabbath, but also was calling God His own Father, making Himself equal with God."
John 8:24 - "I said therefore to you, that you shall die in your sins; for unless you believe that I am He, you shall die in your sins."
Note: In the Greek, "He" is not there.
John 8:58 - "Jesus said to them, 'Truly, truly, I say to you, before Abraham was born, I am.'"
Exodus 3:14 - "And God said to Moses, 'I AM WHO I AM'; and He said, Thus you shall say to the sons of Israel, ‘I AM has sent me to you.’’

(The phrase, "to call upon the name of the Lord" is a phrase used to designate prayer.)
1 Kings 18:24 - "Then you call on the name of your god, and I will call on the name of the Lord, and the God who answers by fire, He is God." And all the people answered and said, "That is a good idea."
Zech. 13:9 - "And I will bring the third part through the fire, refine them as silver is refined, and test them as gold is tested. They will call on My name, and I will answer them; I will say, ‘They are My people,’ and they will say, ‘The Lord is my God.’"
Rom. 10:13-14 - "for 'whoever will call upon the name of the Lord' will be saved." 14 How then shall they call upon Him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him whom they have not heard?" (Paul is speaking of calling upon Jesus. (The phrase "Call upon the name of the Lord" is a quote from Joel 2:32).
Joel 2:32 - "And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the LORD shall be delivered: for in Mount Zion and in Jerusalem shall be deliverance, as the LORD hath said, and in the remnant whom the LORD shall call." (LORD here is YHWH, the name of God as revealed in Exodus 3:14. Therefore, this quote, dealing with God Himself is attributed to Jesus.)
First and Last
Isaiah 44:6 - "Thus says the Lord, the King of Israel and his Redeemer, the Lord of hosts: ‘I am the first and I am the last, and there is no God besides Me."
Rev. 1:17 - "Do not be afraid; I am the first and the last, 18and the living One; and I was dead, and behold, I am alive forevermore, and I have the keys of death and of Hades.
The doctrine of the Trinity -- that God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit are each equally and eternally the one true God -- this is very difficult to comprehend, and yet is the very foundation of Christian truth.
Both Old and New Testaments teach the Unity and the Trinity of the Godhead. The idea that there is only one God, who created all things, is repeatedly emphasized in such Scriptures as Isaiah 45:18:
"For thus saith the Lord that created the heavens; God himself that formed the earth and made it; ...I am the Lord; and there is none else."
A New Testament example is James 2:19:
"Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well; the devils also believe, and tremble."
The three persons of the Godhead are, at the same time, noted in such Scriptures as Isaiah 48:16:
"I have not spoken in secret from the beginning; from the time that it was, there am I; and now the Lord God, and his Spirit, hath sent me."
The speaker in this verse is obviously God, and yet He says He has been sent both by The Lord God (that is, the Father) and by His Spirit (that is, the Holy Spirit).
The New Testament doctrine of the Trinity is evident in such a verse as John 15:26, where the Lord Jesus said:
"But when the Comforter is come whom I will send unto you from the Father, He shall testify of me."
Then there is the baptismal formula:
"Baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost" (Matthew 28:19).
One name (God) -- yet three names!
JESUS -- That Jesus, as the only-begotten Son of God, actually claimed to be God, equal with the Father, is clear from numerous Scriptures. For example, He said:
"I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty" (Revelation 1:8).
HOLY SPIRIT -- Some cults falsely teach that the Holy Spirit is an impersonal divine influence of some kind, but the Bible teaches that He is a real person, just as are the Father and the Son. Jesus said:
"Howbeit when He, the Spirit of truth, is come, He will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak; and he will show you things to come" (John 16:13).
The Trinity is important because God is important. To understand more fully what God is like is a way of honoring God. Further, we should allow the fact that God is triune to deepen our worship. We exist to worship God. And God seeks people to worship Him in “spirit and truth” (John 4:24). Therefore we must always endeavor to deepen our worship of God—in truth as well as in our hearts.

More Work Hours
My new employer just emailed me and asked if I could work every Friday cleaning his house, instead of every other Friday. This might help fill my time when my children go back to school. He is very flexible, so I can really work any day I wish.
I have spent all morning looking for my insurance certificate for our vehicles. We have four vehicles. I finally found them,(or should I say I requested copies from my insurance agent) when I got to the Secretary of States office they said they didn't need them. On the left bottom corner of the registration it has a pin number on it. They said; that pin number tells them we have insurance. LOL!! Oh well, I needed to put them in our vehicles anyway.
Oh Brother, what a long morning.

Not much planned this weekend

He has only forgiven me for practially putting His Son on a cross...
He has only given me a new heart...
He has only cleansed me...

He has only put me with a family that tests me, encourages me, and lifts me up...
He has only given me Godly friends to have sweet fellowship with...
He has only given me a letter 66 books long...
He has only let me experience true joy that only comes from fellowship with Him...
This list could go on forever...

I almost thought my husband’s party would not go on. My little guy (Bo) got sick after I left for work. I didn’t really know what to do besides call all the people to inform them so they could make the decision to come over or not. My granddaughter is only 5 months old, so I didn’t want her to get the flu if that is what Boaz was sick with.
Everyone decided to still come over for the party.
We had a great time! My husband received some very nice gifts.
He received a heart monitor for exercising, a Bible cover, 3 Michael Card CD’s, (We already have tickets for his upcoming concert in September) A travel mug for his hot tea, A meat thermometer, (this is for his grill, it sits inside the meat and reads outside the grill so he doesn’t have to keep opening up the lid and letting the heat out) A vegetable chopper, (My husband is a vegan, this means he doesn’t eat meat, eggs, or dairy products) and a gift card to Barnes and Nobles. (He loves to read)
For his birthday meal, he wanted Vegan burgers, (everyone else had real meat) cucumber cut up from our garden, Corn on the cob, Chips and dip, (for the guest, my husband doesn’t eat junk foods) and Vegan bake beans.

All in all I think the party went well.
Cleaning for the Party

Yesterday was a very busy day! I spent a great deal of the morning baking and cleaning for my husband's birthday party. I guess because I clean for a living, I feel the need to have my house spotless when we have people over. I'm not sure, but I did give my house a good cleaning yesterday. It took me until I had to go to work before I felt it was good enough.

My Husband turns 40

My husband turns 40 on Saturday! We are having a party for him tonight because my daughter leaves for Florida on Friday. I couldn't sleep last night for some unknown reason. At 2:00 a.m. my daughter and her friend came in and brought (39, one popped) balloons in and put them all over the floor and in her dads van. She wanted to make his 40th birthday special. She is a sweet young woman! (O.k. I am a little bias)
I will blog about the party tomorrow, right now I have to go bake his cake, clean the house, and sign my children up for school.

Today I was reminded of what love really is. It is giving of ourselves for someone else. God showed us this example when He gave His only Son as a sacrifice for our sins.
A good friend of mine has been trying for the past month to take me out for my birthday. I had no idea what she was planning. We had a day scheduled last month but I cancelled due to my husband taking the day off.
It finally happened today. I got up this morning and was suppose to meet her at her house at 9:00 a.m. I had "NO" idea where we were going. I didn't know how to dress, how to do my hair. I was pretty sure at 9:00 a.m. it wouldn't be to fancy. I dressed in a cream colored skort with a silky black shirt. I put my hair up in a clip. I thought I look casual, good for any setting.
I got to my friends house and she was already in her car. We drove into town, to the salon my daughter works at. I was pampered with a pedicure and a manicure. I have never had either; it was really a lovely morning. After that, we went to breakfast. I felt much love today!
My friend was on vacation from her job and had tons to do, but she gave me a whole morning so I would feel special. For me it wasn't the fact that she spent her money on me. It was the time that she sacrificed for me; it was the giving of herself. That is love!!!
I am not a material person; I could careless if I have a fancy car to drive. I am blessed if I get up and it starts and makes me through my day. I'm not into jewelry, if I get it I wear it, but it is not something I have to have. I love the simple gifts, the simple acts of love. How often do we sacrifice for other people?
I love the gifts my children make me at school. They come home hiding it from me so I don't see it until they want me to. Half the time I haven't a clue what it is, but they took their time out of their day to think of me. They sacrificed their time at school to draw me a picture or write me a poem. I love those gifts!!!

Walking in the Valley of the Shadow of Death

MY PURPOSE IN THIS MESSAGE
Since we are destined to spend most of our life down in the valley of the shadow of death, I want to do it joyfully and successfully in the midst of my never-ending problems and pressures. In other words, we must learn that God is not nearly as interested in getting us out of trouble as teaching us how to live with contentment while in trouble. And, more than that, He wants us to learn to bear the maximum fruit while in the maximum crisis.

My Niece is finally Home
Please continue to pray for my niece. (Erica) She is now at home. The doctors diagnosed Meningitis. Erica has intravenous access (I.V.) in her neck for continued antibiotic therapy at home. She is doing much better. However, please continue to pray. Thank you

Evening at the Hospital
I spent the evening at the hospital last night with my niece. When I walked in, she was having another back headache. They were trying to cut back on the medication they were giving her through the I.V. so she could maybe go home soon. Her headache got pretty bad; they had to give her something strong. I could tell my brother and sister-in-law had just about had it. After the nurses got the headache under control things were a lot better. We got to play around with all the people that called up to see how she was doing. When my brother and I get together we get a little silly. At least they all got to laugh a little. The doctor came in and said "if" they can get the headaches under control she might get to go home tonight (Thursday) or tomorrow (Friday). They said she still had a spot on the bottom of her lung they were concerned about. The kidney infection is under control now.

Update on my Niece
My niece remains in the hospital. She has pneumonia, a partially clasp lung, a bad kidney infection, and she is still getting very severe headaches. They need to get her oxygen levels up before they will send her home. They took more x-rays of her chest late last night. Her mom and dad are not doing well. It has been a long few weeks with their oldest daughter getting married on Saturday, and now Erica being in ICU.

Please pray for my Niece
My niece is 16 years old; she has been very ill sense Saturday at her sisters wedding. My brother just called and they moved her this morning to the ICU unit at Mott's children's Hospital. I ask you fellow bloggers to please be in prayer for her. They thought on Saturday she had a bad bladder infection, on Sunday they thought it was a bad Kidney infection, and today she is having a hard time breathing and her oxygen levels are very low. Please pray that the Doctor's will be able to find out what is causing all of this. Pray for healing.

Another busy weekend
My dad called last night and wanted to stop over. I had to practice singing with a man from my church and his son. We are singing a song he wrote on Sunday and teaching it to our congregation. I also work on Thursday evenings as a custodian for my church. I have several jobs. My husband makes fun of all the jobs I have. I will list them out.
Besides being a wife, mother and grandmother, I also work outside the home doing many different jobs. The good thing about the jobs I have, I can take my children with me to all of them except for my new cleaning job. The new cleaning job is very flexible.
I am a custodian at my church. I work 16 hours to 20 hours a week.
I do two Ann Arbor news motor routes. I have a driving route, I deliver to 650 customers.
I wrote about the cleaning job I just started. It is only 8 hours a month until my children go back to school.
I do like to stay busy (I don't get in as much trouble this way)
Needless to say, I didn't get to see my dad last night. I told him I will see him at the wedding, and I'll have him and my step-mom over next week.
Sunday brings yet another business meeting at my church. This is were I find out what happens with mine and my families life. (Do we stay or do we go?)This issue has nothing to do with me personally. (I'll blog about this next week) I am very, very active in our church; I have attended CBC for 18 years. Please, please just keep praying.
Tonight, I'm going to my son and daughter-in-laws for a bonfire. I am looking forward to seeing my grandchildren.
Tomorrow, I deliver the news papers in the early morning (2:30 a.m.) I than have to go to church and clean it for Sunday's services. I am than off to my nieces' wedding at 5:00 p.m.

My Week in Review
I should have time to post tomorrow. I have to leave soon to take Boaz to wrestling camp. I'm also getting new back tires put on my truck today.
My Birthday meal was wonderful. My husband did a great job!
I didn't get the rug I wanted, only because my husband doesn't have a Sam's Club Card. This is were I seen the Oriental rug that will go with my living room. I received enough bath gel to get me by until Christmas. (My family is so funny) I received a new cool outfit from my daughter. (Jean shirt, new blouse) My husband gave me some beautiful gold earrings. I most forgot the candles I received, I received 4 candles, they go with a glass lamp. It is a lamp that fit's on a candle and lights up when you light the candle. It is my favorite item that my son and daughter-in-law has given me.
Like I said many times, I am a blessed woman. I feel like I don't always deserve there love, but they give it anyway.

The Christ of the Covenants- More thoughts
I.) Covenant of Redemption
Involves the Parties who work together to affect Mankind’s redemption
Rooted in eternity
Displays harmony within Trinity (Eph. 1:3-14)
Jesus constantly say’s that he has come to do the Father’s will

Scripture plainly teaches the reality of this council of redemption. Especially in the writings of John, the Father is repeatedly said to have sent the Son. For but one example, “Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins” (1 John 4:10). Christ spoke of a commission given Him by the Father. For instance, toward the close of His earthly ministry He reported, as it were, to the Father: “I have glorified thee on the earth; I have finished the work which thou gavest me to do” (John 17:4). In such a passage, among others, as Isaiah 53:12 prominent mention is made of the reward given by the Father to the Son for His accomplished work: “Therefore will I divide him a portion with the great, and he shall divide the spoil with the strong; because he hath poured out his soul unto death; and he was numbered with the transgressors; and he bare the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors.” Just as clearly does Scripture teach that the Holy Spirit was sent by the Father and the Son. Jesus promised His disciples “the Holy Ghost, whom,” he said, “the Father will send in my name” (John 14: 26), and He described the third person of the Trinity as “the Comforter, whom I will send you from the Father” (John 15: 26).
In short, before the world was, the Triune God formed a plan of salvation to be executed in its several reciprocally distributed parts by the Father as Sender and Principal, by the Son as Sent, Mediator, and Sender, and by the Holy Spirit as Sent and Applier.
II.) Covenant of Works (Covenant of non-Redemptive Grace)
Life was promised to Adam; and in Him to his posterity, upon the condition of perfect and personal obedience (WCF)

III.) Covenant of Grace (Covenant of Redemptive Grace)
The Structure Of Ancient Covenants –
George Mendenhall – UM (Law and Covenant in Israel and The Ancient Near East)
Meredith Kline took the time to look closely at Mendenhall’s conclusion as it pertains to Scripture.
Preamble -- Identifies Sovereign Of Treaty (Ex. 6:2-5)
Historical Prologue – Brief Hx. of relationship between Suzerain and Vassals (Ex. 20:2)
Stipulations – Terms of agreements (Ex. 20)
Sanctions – Blessings and Cursing measured against the Stipulations (Dt. 28:1-8, 15-20)
It is absolutely essential that, at this point, we don’t turn Covenant Theology into quid pro quo Theology. We must understand that the given Law is not an abstract list of moral rules that we keep in order to curry favor. Rather it is the case that because we have experienced the graciousness of our Covenant God that we take seriously His law. God’s Grace is always prior for the Christian (cmp. Ex. 20:1) and our response, in the context of covenant, is a loving obedience (John 14:15), driven by Gratitude to the God who has done all, including working in us the desire and end of obedience (Phil. 2:13, Eph. 2:10, Is. 26:12)

"The law was given after the redemption from Egypt had been accomplished, and the people had already entered upon the enjoyment of many of the blessings of the berith (covenant). Particularly, their taking possession of the promised land could not have been made dependent on previous observance of the law, for during their journey in the wilderness many of its prescripts could not be observed. It is plain, then, that law-keeping did not figure at that juncture as the meritorious ground of life-inheritance. The latter is based on grace alone, no less emphatically than Paul himself places salvation on that ground.
Vows & Ratification (Gen. 15:17-18)
Swearing oaths and vows enacted treaties in the Ancient World. Covenants were ratified by vows visibly preformed by cutting covenant. In the cutting of covenant self-maledictory oaths were being taken that should either of the parties violate the Covenant it should be done unto them that which had been done to these sundered animals.
With Abraham God cuts covenant alone. He calls upon Himself the maledictory cursing for covenant breaking, swearing by His own name. The symbolism is clear here: If God fails to keep Covenant, he will be torn asunder like the Animals.
Now, can anyone tell me what the ratification Ceremonies are in the Renewed and Better covenant?

T – Transcendence (Corresponds to Preamble and Hx. Prologue above)
Covenants universally include the idea of God’s Transcendence. Transcendence is not the idea that God is distant but rather that God is distinct. Transcendence upholds the Creator Creature distinction. Men do not share in God’s ontological being. This Transcendent Covenant God is Lord over all. The result of this is that in Covenant Theology God alone retains absolute Sovereignty since God is the Suzerain that enters into Covenant with His people.
The implication of this is that, temporally speaking; no man or Sphere (Family, Church, State) is allowed to have absolute power. All are hemmed in by God’s sovereign Word.
H – Hierarchy
Covenants taught a concept of authority, or Hierarchy, based on representation. In this way God makes known His transcendence on earth. (Dt. 1:12-17)
Adam was a covenant head who had, because of his place in the covenant, been given delegated authority, and so was God's representative. Satan tempted Adam by offering Adam Divine authority instead of delegated authority in the Covenant.
Within each Covenant of Scripture you will find a Covenant head who is part of God’s representative hierarchy here on earth. It is the way that God brings His concrete sovereignty to bear in this world.
In the different covenantal Sphere’s that are taught in Scripture you see the same thing. (Family – Father, Church – Elders, State – Magistrates) and yet, as we said earlier none of these are absolute. They are hemmed in by God’s Word and by the doctrine of interposition when God’s Word is grossly neglected in any realm. This representative principle makes everyone accountable to someone and leaves absolute Sovereignty to God alone.
E – Ethics – Corresponds to Stipulations and Sanctions
O – Oaths
S – Succession – The Covenants that we are concerned with in Scripture are generational.
In Adam’s Fall, we fell all
Noah’s Covenant still holds true
Abraham’s covenant is continued as we are Abraham’s seed (Romans 4)
Mosaic covenant is continued as Christ did not come to abrogate the Law (Mt. 5:17)
Davidic covenant is continued as Christ reigns as David’s Greater Son and we are His people
Renewed and better covenant is the full grown tree of the Acorn started
Because we see the Covenant as being generational and not individualistic we bring our children in obedience and place them in the legal and personal relationship that the covenant establishes believing God’s promises to our children and obeying His commands. Because we bring them on the basis of God’s promises and commands we deal with our children as Christians and we teach them what it means to live a life of repentance and faith.

Adam was a covenant head who had, because of his place in the covenant, been given delegated authority, and so was God's representative. Satan tempted Adam by offering Adam Divine authority instead of delegated authority in the Covenant.
Within each Covenant of Scripture you will find a Covenant head who is part of God’s representative hierarchy here on earth. It is the way that God brings His concrete sovereignty to bear in this world.
In the different covenantal Sphere’s that are taught in Scripture you see the same thing. (Family – Father, Church – Elders, State – Magistrates) and yet, as we said earlier none of these are absolute. They are hemmed in by God’s Word and by the doctrine of interposition when God’s Word is grossly neglected in any realm. This representative principle makes everyone accountable to someone and leaves absolute Sovereignty to God alone.
E – Ethics – Corresponds to Stipulations and Sanctions
O – Oaths
S – Succession – The Covenants that we are concerned with in Scripture are generational.
In Adam’s Fall, we fell all
Noah’s Covenant still holds true
Abraham’s covenant is continued as we are Abraham’s seed (Romans 4)
Mosaic covenant is continued as Christ did not come to abrogate the Law (Mt. 5:17)
Davidic covenant is continued as Christ reigns as David’s Greater Son and we are His people
Renewed and better covenant is the full grown tree of the Acorn started
Because we see the Covenant as being generational and not individualistic we bring our children in obedience and place them in the legal and personal relationship that the covenant establishes believing God’s promises to our children and obeying His commands. Because we bring them on the basis of God’s promises and commands we deal with our children as Christians and we teach them what it means to live a life of repentance and faith.

The Christ of the Covenants
I wasn't able to go to Bible study last night. I am really enjoying reading this book.
What is the Christ of the Covenant?
The original covenant between God and man may be termed the Covenant of Creation. This focuses on the relationship between man and God as his Creator.
A covenant is “a bond in blood sovereignly administered by God.” It is a bond that binds people together. It is a bond of life and death in blood demonstrating the ultimacy of the act of “covenanting.” It is a bond that is sovereignly administered by God that disregards human bartering or contracting that regularly characterizes the manner in which fallen men attempt to merit salvation.
In a more focal aspect to the Covenant of Creation, God sets up Adam in a probation period in the garden called the covenant of commencement, or Covenant of Works. When Adam breaks this covenant, God pronounces a curse on Satan
Marriage is also seen in this Creation Covenant as a mark of the further redemptive mystery of Christ and His church.

Very busy this week
With running Boaz to Wrestling camp and starting a new job it seems I have no time to post anything. Kent (My new boss) wanted to take me around his whole house and show me what he needed cleaned. He has a lot of delicate items so he wanted to show me how to handle them when I'm moving them to dust. I think this will work out real well. He seems like a super nice fellow. He works out of his home, for the most part, (Which will be weird) but I will deal with it. He seems like he will be a great man to clean for. (Hopefully I'm right)
I'm off to the movies with my daughter. On Thursday's I try to give her a little of my time.

My special Meal
I have received some emails asking if the only thing I received for my birthday was a fortune cookie. (This had me LOL!) I asked my husband to put my birthday meal off until July 23rd. The Twin's birthday was Wednesday, we than went to the Water park Saturday. I than had to have the boy's ready for camp Sunday at 1:00 p.m. My husband always makes me Chicken Parmesan (My favorite meal) and homemade Carrot cake for desert for my special meal.
A side thought
As I was thinking about your emails today, I remember one Valentine's day, an old boy friend gave me a thing of strawberries and one rose. Instead of being grateful, I was angry. It should have been the thought that counted, but to get strawberries, I didn't even get chocolate to dip them in. I got mad because I thought the guy was trying to tell me I needed to lose weight. (I am sure the women can relate a little to this)I know now that he was trying to be romantic, but at the time, I thought he was a big jerk!
On my birthday or special occasion I like to eat junk or something fattening! I never told this man why I was upset. It makes me laugh (Not funny, ha,ha)(Sad, selfish laugh) today thinking about how awful I was.
After 20 years of marriage I don't have to tell my husband that I want the good stuff for my birthday/special events.
I will get my nice big fattening dinner and desert on Sunday.
I also asked for an oriental rug for my living room. Our living room has hardwood flooring in it.
I'll write about it Sunday, after my husband goes to work.

Wrestling Camp
My boy's are at wrestling camp this week. You would think I would have tons of time on my hands. I have to drive Boaz to camp every morning at 8:00 a.m. It is only a half hour away but it seems by the time I get there and home I only have a few hours to clean and do the things I need to do before I go to work. I'll write more about wrestling camp later. The boy's have a phone in their room, Oh boy; every chance Jon gets he calls home. I knew he would be the one that would get homesick. He doesn't like to be away from home at all. All in all, it should be good for all 4 of them.

Out of Boaz's mouth once Again
My husband came up to me yesterday and gave me a hug, and wished me a happy birthday. He than said, "You look just like I thought you would look at 43". I asked him what he meant by that statement. He said, "You are like cheese, you age well", I didn't know it, but Boaz was standing behind me. He said, "Dad do you mean mom is starting to stink?"

The Water Park
I went to the water park yesterday with my 4 boys. The boy's didn't want to leave my side. Well, Jon didn't want to leave my side. At one point in the day, I was in the wave pool, on a tube with all 4 boys holding onto the side of the tube. A friend of mine asked what I was doing for my birthday. I told him I was taking the kids to the water park. I don't care for the water much, I try to take the boys one time in the summer. The only thing I like about the water park is lying in a lawn chair and reading a good book.
We stayed until 7:00 p.m. I think we all got a little sunburn.

The twins Party
The day went very well, I didn't make Jon and Jimmy do anything all day. I tried to make it a very special day for them.
I started out by making them the breakfast of their choice. They wanted sausage Mcmuffin sandwiches. (With Bob Evans sausage)
I took one of my routes off; I knew it was going to be a busy afternoon, cooking enough food to feed everyone that was coming over was going to be a bit of work.

My daughter did any last minute shopping I needed her to do.(I always forget something) My 16 year old son helped me around the house.(Becca and Aaron were very helpful) My mother-in-law came early to help me cook all the food. I knew it wasn't going to be easy making enough food to feed all of the people we invited. My husband had to take Boaz to his wrestling club, so he couldn't help at all. I don't know how we pulled it off, but right at 6:30 p.m. all the guests were here and the food was ready.
The boy's got many things for their birthday. Jon received $55, 3 shirts, a pair of shorts, an air soft gun, and an electric scooter. Jimmy received $55, a computer game, an Xbox game, 3 shirts, a pair of shorts, and an electric scooter.
I think they had a great time. (I did!) : )

A big fortune Cookie
I have to confess my favorite cookie is a fortune cookies. I once went to Gordon foods and bought a big bulk bag of fortune cookies, and ate them all.
When I came home from work tonight, there was the biggest fortune cookie I have ever seen, on the counter for me. It was from my loving husband, to me, for my birthday.

Prayer request for a little girl named Cre in Detroit
A friend of mine just called and asked for me to pray for a little girl named Cre, she is having laser eye surgery on both of her eyes today. Rhona from Talk from the Heart looks after this young girl.

Boaz asked, if he could please have the old rotten potatoes that we had last night. He has been taking speech classes since he was in Kindergarten, I thought I misunderstood him. I asked him to repeat himself. He once again asked if he could have the left over old rotten potatoes from last night. I said "do you mean the Au Gratin potatoes? He looked at me and said "is that what they are called? That is a really silly name for potatoes."

The Twins turn twelve Today
It seemed like only yesterday I was giving birth to my twin boys. I was as big as a house. Do you think these two little boys would come early like most twins do? I grew out of all my maternity cloths but one outfit. Were did the time go? I can't believe they are 12 today. I remember when my 28 year old son turned 12; it seems like a blink of an eye ago. He is now married with three children of his own.
My husband and I have spent the last two evenings getting stuff for their birthday party. Monday we got their gifts, and tonight we bought all the food. They both wanted electric scooters. My husbands bought Bo, (our youngest) a scooter last week when the boy's were gone away with their youth group. They also wanted some computer games and an air soft gun.
One thing we do in our family is we each pick out a birthday meal, on our birthday. They each have a favorite food that they like to eat. The 1/2 hour older twin picked out Spaghetti with meat sauce, Au Gratin potatoes, and green bean casserole. The younger twin picked out Ribs, and mash potatoes with no lumps in them. (Instant) The older twin picked out Confetti cake with blue frosting. His brother picked out Oreo ice cream cake. It sounds like we will have a feast tonight.
We have some family members coming over to help them celebrate. My mom and dad, my husband mom and my son and family. When we all get together, it is alot of people.

A new Job
I got a new job today! It all really happened pretty fast. An acquaintance told me a few months ago to keep applying for jobs. He told me not to give up just because the one I applied for wouldn't work out with my schedule. I have kept my eyes open the last few months and this job sort of just fell into my lap. The only down fall, is I have to give up one of my other jobs. I have two motor routes, and I work as a custodian 16 hours a week at my church. My husband said; I could take this job, if I give up one of the other three. I hate making decisions like this!!
I will be cleaning for a man who is a multi-millionaire (or so he says) builder in Ann Arbor. He is putting in a big subdivision around the Ann Arbor Area. He is single and around my age, I don't have a problem with this. I can handle myself o.k., the man that I talked to today just told me to watch myself. That mades me a little uneasy, but I think he was just watching out for me, he is a father type. Jim (the man who got me the job) will take me to meet my new boss on Friday at 10:45 a.m. We will sit down and work out the detail. I'm trying to get my own cleaning business going; I am praying that this will get me some contacts.

My year in Review
I talked to a friend yesterday about my 42nd year of life. I have a few more days to enjoy it and do something worth while. I have to say it has not been a very profitable year for me. I pondered back over each month to see if I did anything to further the Kingdom. I haven't talk to any one about the Lord. I made some very poor decisions that will affect the rest of my life. I not only made decisions that would affect my life, I dragged another innocent person into my thoughtless plan to get my daughter married.( this is no joke, I really did this stupid thing) My daughter is a beautiful young lady. Yes, she could pick a husband for herself, and no I have never done this before. To make a very long story short, I hurt some very innocent people with this plan of mine. I wanted my daughter to marry a Godly man that would lead her and her children down the right path in life. The man I picked fit this to a T.
Due to some unforeseen events, this did not work out. People got hurt and lives got changed. My life will never be the same. My life feel apart this year due to this very poor decision.
Now that I have that off my chest, I can move on. I have learned from my errors, that you can't play with people's lives.(I did ask for this mans forgiveness, he didn't grate me it but I did try) I hurt this poor man and my daughter very badly. It will take me a while to forgive myself for this. I have moved out of this man's life so he can heal. All I can do for my daughter, is keep raising her the proper way. I pray someone as good as this man I chose for her, comes along and marries her.
This shadowed my thoughts all week. I tried to think of any good, which I have done, or anyone that I have helped. This is were my friend came into play. I was telling this person how I wanted to write about my year. The good I have done and the not so wise things I have done. This person helped me see some good, which I had done for others. I was very happy that I just didn't waste a year on selfish "me". These are the things this person named.
1. I lead worship every other week in our church.
2. I work in the nursery.
3. I worked as a substitute Awana worker almost every Wednesday evening when people couldn't make it.
4. I took meals to people when they were sick or had a baby.
5. I visited people in the hospital.
6. I helped my parents take care of their dogs when my dad had heart surgery.
7. I helped my brother with his kids, getting them to and from baseball.
8. I helped my daughter-in-law when she had her new baby. I watch my grandchildren often.
Interesting things that happened to me this year
I got to go to Chicago with my husband on a business trip. You have to understand my husband and I never got to take a honeymoon or any trip together in the 20 years we have been married. We have 6 children and they always come first.
I got to get a photo shoot of me for a painting, to be shown at an art exhibition in August.
I was able to head up a Praise/Worship event at out church. It was a two hour singspiration with many different styles of music selections. This was so much fun to be a part of. It was alot of work, but worth every second I devoted to it.
Work done on our house;
Two years ago we bought a 1920 old farm house. It needed some work, but it was perfect for my family. This year we had new siding put on our house, new windows put in, our upstairs remodeled. We still have to paint the whole inside of our house, and finish something's upstairs, but it looks so nice now. I was able to work hard on the outside landscaping this summer. I planted alot of new flowers, some perennials, and other types of flowers. This year I was able to add a touch of me to my outdoors. I planted a few peonies, a mexican heather, a few other perennials, the names have left me.
The more I write the more I see that God has bless me greatly this year.

To the reader who asked about the Jelly Recipe.
To the reader that asked me to post my Strawberry Jelly recipe. I am sorry I just haven't sat down to do it. I couldn't get back ahold of you by email,I can't remember Bo's password on his email. It is a easy recipe and something fun you can do with your children. Bo and my other boy's loved helping mash the strawberries and put in the sugar. It is a fun and cheap way to teach your children how to "can". They loved it and we now have a year supply of strawberry jelly.

One week before I turn one more year older (YUCK)
Oh brother, this will take me a while to write about. I have been pondering about my year all week. What did I do with a whole year? I don't want to write about all the bad things that happened, so I am going to write about the positive things first. Not tonight, I have to get ready for bed. It's been a very busy weekend. Yesterday, my friend and I, left at 9:00 a.m. to go to the Zoo. I didn't get home until 9:30 p.m. I than had to get up at 2:00 a.m. to go to work. Today was my niece's bridal shower, she is getting married on July 29th. I made food for it, and helped clean up afterwards. Before I went to work I had to feed my children. I just home from work a bit ago. Tomorrow brings more fun! A friend of mine, that moved to Nashville a year ago is here for the weekend. After church we are going to get together with them and another family. I have missed Karen so much. I have been so into "me" this last year, I haven't even called her to say hi. This is a friend who I use to talk to several times a week, and my children went to her home all the time, before she moved. What a great friend I have become. Tomorrow evening, I have a business meeting at church. I feel a bit overwhelmed just thinking about my day tomorrow. I'll blog about my year on Monday. (Maybe)
The Zoo Trip
I'll blog about this as soon as I have time. I do have to say, I had alot of fun. I haven't laughed that hard in a long time. Well, my husband says I laugh too much, so maybe I have laughed that hard before. My 3 year old grandson was a joy to be around.
I took Bo to the Zoo on Thursday. His brother's were gone to camp or Kings Island. I have 5 children so to get away with only one child is pretty special. We went with Bo's best friend Josh. His best friend is his nephew who is a year younger than he is. We went to the Toledo Zoo. It is a very nice Zoo. Bo and Josh thought it was fun to see who could get me to laugh more. I have to say I really just try to enjoy myself and have fun in life. Sure we will find hurt's everywhere we look. We have to learn from them and move forward. I have to say my 3 year old grandson made me laugh the most. I could only understand half of what he said. He said this line at least a half dozen times, "Na Na want to go to your house and eat popcorn and watch Spider Man". He was pretty upset when we stopped to eat on the way home from the Zoo. My granddaughter is 4 months old, she was so very good. I had a most enjoyable day.
Our next outing is on Thursday. We have planned to take the kid's to the park for playing and lunch. Saturday, will be more fun! We are going to take the kid's to the Water Park near my house. I have been trying to keep my children busy this summer so they are not just sitting around watching T.V. and playing Video games. The outings my daughter-in-law and I planned are not real costly, but lots of fun for the kids.
I only had to take one day off of work for all of this. We just planned fun outings around my work schedule.

People's Opinion of Us
I sat the other day in a restaurant with my family. I was having a conversation with Bo about our up coming Zoo trip. He stopped what he was saying and told me (his Mom) what beautiful eyes I have. He said, he always thought they were brown like his.(My eyes are blue) My husband chimed in and said, I told you that your eyes were beautiful, not only beautiful, but captivating. I asked him what he meant by that. He said, they have a way of drawing people to them. I am still a little confused by his comment. That was their opinion of my eyes.
I got an email from a man, he is an artist. He asked me, if he could paint my portrait for his art exhibition. I had to think about this and ask my husband if this was o.k. I know this man, and his wife well, so I felt comfortable doing it. I went today to his studio, so he could take all the picture's he needed of me. He has an art exhibition in August,he would like to add my picture to his other paintings. He took about 200 different shot's of me. I asked him why he would pick me to paint. His opinion was that I have a unique look. I have very high check bones, a nice dimple, and very capivating eye's. (There was that word again) His wife said, she thought the picture would really add alot to his collection of paintings. I couldn't believe it when I saw his paintings. They were breathtaking. His wife is very beautiful,he captured all of her finest details. In his opinion, my painting will be wonderful.
On Sunday our Pastor told of a person that is always encouraging, fun to be around, always willing to help out someone in need, always smiling. After the sermon someone came up to me and said they thought that comment was about me. This was their opinion of me.
I received a card a few weeks ago from a person. The card had so many awesome things all about me. Again, this was this person's opinion of me.
These kinds of opinion are wonderful! What do we do about the not so nice opinion about us? I had a friend who made a comment about me, I didn't care for it at all. I no longer talk to this person, or should I say this person no longer talks to me. I took what was said, and got angry. I like the other opinions, but when it was something I didn't like, I got mad. How often, do we take what we like, but reject what we need to change? I'm working on what I need to change! It took me a few weeks to except what was said, and do something about it. It is my opinion that we need to take the good with the bad. Learn how to except and change the bad quilities about us, and learn from them.
Of course this is just my opinion! (giggle)

Our weekend
Boaz is to busy with summer fun, to blog anymore. I'll take over, and write about our summer. The weekend was a little busy with activities and friend's staying over. Friday night we went to my friend's house for some fellowship. Boaz and his brother's got to go swimming and play pool. I couldn't get them to leave, we didn't get home until almost 1:00 a.m. The bad thing about that, is I get up at 2:00 a.m. to go to work. It all worked out well, I slept in until 3:30 a.m.
Saturday, my husband and I,ran around to a bunch of stores, in the morning. We got fireworks for Tuesday's fun. (I'll write about our Fourth of July plans later) Boaz went to work with me, we cleaned, took his dad some dinner, played in the pool for a while, and off to bed we went. (around 10:00 p.m.) I had to get up for work at 1:30 a.m.
Sunday, was a busy day; We started off with church, I had a friend's Tupperware to hand, this kept me busy for some time after church. My husband and I took the kids out to eat after that. I let my boy's have their best friend's over to spend the night. I try to be a good mom, and entertain as best I can. We had a group over for a while. My daughter had two of her friends here, my oldest boy still living at home had a friend over to down load something to his computer. My twins had two friend's over. I had a full house for a time. I ordered pizza and made cookies. My oldest son still living at home left for camp this morning. I had to get all of his things packed and ready to go. His brother's are going to Kings Island this week with their youth group. I needed to make sure everything was clean. I thought I would be really tired by the time I was done, do you think I could sleep? I went over the day's events, thought about some friend,s until I couldn't stand that anymore. I read until sleep finally won me over.

Enjoying the summer
Things are slowing down now that baseball season is over. Boaz is in wrestling right now. I have planned some fun outings for Bo and his brother's. Today we are going to Jungle Java to play. Next week Bo' three older brother's will be gone to camp so I am going to take Bo' to the zoo on Friday. We are going to go with his best friend Josh.
I went swimming in our new pool with Bo on Monday. He really enjoyed this. Things are back to normal around our home now.
We spend our evenings weeding the garden, swimming in the pool, or just sitting down and watching a good movie.

Thank you
I want to thank all of Bo' readers for all the nice emails of encouagement over the course of his baseball season, and jelly making. He spent the night at his nephews house last night. Strawberries
We picked strawberries today. My mom is getting ready to make strawberry jelly right now. We just got back from Levi's (my cousin') baseball game. Mom told my Uncle last night that she would take Levi to his game. My Uncle Matt has five children. His daughter's had a game in Manchester tonight. My Uncle works afternoons, so mom said she would helped them out. Levi's team won their first game tonight, it just so happened to be their last game of the season. Levi got an RBI.
I'll let everyone know how mom's jelly turns out. I want to go help her.

Awesome Last game of the Season
Tonight's game I have to say was the best game of the season. Bottom of the fifth brought a tie game. Top of the sixth, three up three down. Bottom of the sixth three up three down.(It is now a tie game, which lead us into over-time). Same with the seventh. Top of the eighth, runner on first, pop fly, the ball was caught, batter out. Two infield grounde'rs batter's out. Bottom of the eighth, bottom of our batting order. A kid that hasn't hit the ball all season hit, and got on first base. Next, two batters were walked. Bases loaded, one out, top of our batting order. Top batter, little hit to the infield, out at first. Second batter ripes the ball to the outfield, scored all four runner, game over we won. I think mom aged ten years watching this game. For 9 and 10 year olds I have to say this was almost as good as watching the pros. Our coaches are the top guys over base ball in our town. I had so much fun playing ball. My uncle Matt was one of the coached for the other team. He is a great coach. We have a pool party on Wednesday evening to end the season. I can't wait.
We get our Trophies on Friday night.

They are the Champions.
Bo' team beat the Red Sox on Saturday. They have already won the Championship. They have another game on Monday, they already have less losses than all the teams. Friday evening they will receive their Trophies. Boaz has played well this year.

The Championship
Last nights ball game was a miricle win. We were 7 runs behind in the last inning. We got the bats on the ball and won the game. I got a hit, ran to first, and they called me out. I was safe!!!!!! Everybody said I was safe, even my coach. He asked the umpire if he was watching the same game we were. It was kinda funny.
I think we will win the championship. We will find out next week, on Monday.
We still have two more games. Mom thought we only had one to go. I have a game Saturday and Monday. We verse two good teams both days.

Two games away from the big trophy
Bo' team is two games away from winning first place. Last night the team rocked again. All of the boys played well. Some of those children can really hit the ball. Children that haven't swung the bat all year were swinging and doing a good job. I enjoy watching them. Boaz is one of the littlest kids on the team. He is holding his own.

The big Trophy
My Uncle Matt was in church today, he said the team he coaches lost yesterday. That means my baseball team is in first place alone now. If we don't lose anymore games we will get the big trophy in two weeks.

Tied for first place
Boaz' team won 30/1, I felt badly for the other team. I could tell it was a long game for them. We only made it to four inning. Three more games and the season is over.
Boaz is hitting so well now. He played center-field and short stop. Bo played well today. He is watching the ball and focusing on the game.
I don't care if they win or lose, as long as Bo plays his best. (except for my brothers team I do want to beat them) Hee, Hee. They are tied in first place with Bo'team. He is the coach for his son's team.

A good school year for Boaz
Today marked the end of another school year. Boaz was very upset to leave all his class mates and his teacher. His teacher made a DVD of all the events that took place this school year. Boaz asked me if I would sit down and watch it with him. He was making comments throughout the whole thing. It was very hard for him to sit and watch it. He cried at the end of it, the DVD showed pictures of each of his class mates. I got tears in my eyes as well, knowing how close he got to his teacher and friends. His teacher wrote the children a poem, Boaz waited until I got home tonight to have me read it to him. He started to cry again, I had to hold back my own tears.
Boaz went around to all of his class mates and hugged them all before the end of school today. My husband said that I have made Boaz just like me. I guess it could be worse.
I do have to say it was a good school year for Boaz.

Another win
My team won another ball game last night. We are still in first place.
This is my last day of third grade. I am sad about leaving my teacher. She has taught me alot this year. She is fun, I will miss her.

Boaz and his teacher
I took Boaz to the store to buy a lunchable and his teacher some flowers. Boaz picked out a beautiful mixed bouquet of flowers. This is pretty funny; Bo asked me before we went into the store, if he could get some playing cards incase it rained. I told Boaz we needed to find the cards and get him to school. He went to the card department and started reading the cards. He said he found the prefect card. I said, I thought you wanted playing cards. He said, oh yea! that's right. I had to laugh out loud at that. (He was reading birthday cards for thirty year olds) When Boaz came home from school he said his teacher was thirty, it was for her.
I went in to school with Boaz so I could help him carry all of his things. We put the flowers on the teacher's desk, she was in the class next door. Boaz told her he wanted her to have flowers as a thank you for being such a good teacher. She started crying, which made Boaz start crying.
I know we made the right choice to move Boaz to this school. His teacher was wonderful.
She had so much energy and spunk. I have to say, it was a good year for Boaz. His report card was GREAT!! Almost all excellent's.

School is almost out for the Summer
I passed third grade! I am so excited! I have 1 1/2 more days of school to go. I really love school, I will miss it. I loved my teacher. I am going to buy her flowers this morning before I go to school.

Bo played a great game of ball
When Bo said he was going to try and hit a home run, he wasn't joking. Bo had two good hits last night. His team won 23/7. Bo told me he prayed and asked God to help him hit the ball. He said he could feel that God was with him last night.
He had a good day at the zoo! Maybe he will blog about it tomorrow. He was tried this morning.

A really, really good day
I get to go to the zoo today with my class! I am so excited! Mom is going to run me to the store before school and buy me a lunchable. It is going to be a really, really, good day today. I have a baseball game tonight. I am going to try and get a good hit tonight, maybe even a home run.

A good day
I got to spend the night at my nephews house last night. My mom went to my brother's baseball game today, I got to stay home with my older brother. My mom just got home; she stayed and watched her nephew's team play ball. They beat my brother's team and went on in the tournament.
My game got cancelled for today, so mom is going to take us out to eat. My mom is the best! I can't wait to see were we are going to go. My mom wants to wait until after the storm dies down. There is a bad storm right now, it is hailing.

Second place
Bo had another baseball game tonight. His team lost by 1 run. He has another game tomorrow evening. His team is in second place, because they lost the game this evening.

My Pool
After I came home from school yesterday I got to go in my new pool for 15 minutes. Then I had to go in to change into my baseball clothes so I would be ready for my baseball game. My pool is 18' - 48'. It is huge to me. I can stand in it, it goes up past my heart. It was freezing in there too.
My brother's went in the pool with me.
My oldest brother Bob ( not a real name, mom said I can't use his real name on my blog) is very tall and skinny. He has no muscles. He is in wrestling so he can take on people. They have to be smaller than him. He likes to pick up the neighbor kid.

My baseball game
We won our second game of baseball last night. It rained for half the game, I got soaked. I got to go get ice cream after the game with the team because we won. I got a shake. We were losing by 7 runs, in the fifth inning we caught up and in the last inning we pulled ahead by one runs. Mom said; it was a very exciting game.
