Please pray for my Niece

My niece is 16 years old; she has been very ill sense Saturday at her sisters wedding. My brother just called and they moved her this morning to the ICU unit at Mott's children's Hospital. I ask you fellow bloggers to please be in prayer for her. They thought on Saturday she had a bad bladder infection, on Sunday they thought it was a bad Kidney infection, and today she is having a hard time breathing and her oxygen levels are very low. Please pray that the Doctor's will be able to find out what is causing all of this. Pray for healing.

In the mist of the storm

This mans blog has some awesome pictures of storms.

Another busy weekend

My dad called last night and wanted to stop over. I had to practice singing with a man from my church and his son. We are singing a song he wrote on Sunday and teaching it to our congregation. I also work on Thursday evenings as a custodian for my church. I have several jobs. My husband makes fun of all the jobs I have. I will list them out.

Besides being a wife, mother and grandmother, I also work outside the home doing many different jobs. The good thing about the jobs I have, I can take my children with me to all of them except for my new cleaning job. The new cleaning job is very flexible.

I am a custodian at my church. I work 16 hours to 20 hours a week.
I do two Ann Arbor news motor routes. I have a driving route, I deliver to 650 customers.
I wrote about the cleaning job I just started. It is only 8 hours a month until my children go back to school.

I do like to stay busy (I don't get in as much trouble this way)

Needless to say, I didn't get to see my dad last night. I told him I will see him at the wedding, and I'll have him and my step-mom over next week.

Sunday brings yet another business meeting at my church. This is were I find out what happens with mine and my families life. (Do we stay or do we go?)This issue has nothing to do with me personally. (I'll blog about this next week) I am very, very active in our church; I have attended CBC for 18 years. Please, please just keep praying.

Tonight, I'm going to my son and daughter-in-laws for a bonfire. I am looking forward to seeing my grandchildren.

Tomorrow, I deliver the news papers in the early morning (2:30 a.m.) I than have to go to church and clean it for Sunday's services. I am than off to my nieces' wedding at 5:00 p.m.

I'm having a hard time keeping up with myself. : )

My Week in Review

I should have time to post tomorrow. I have to leave soon to take Boaz to wrestling camp. I'm also getting new back tires put on my truck today.

My Birthday meal was wonderful. My husband did a great job!
I didn't get the rug I wanted, only because my husband doesn't have a Sam's Club Card. This is were I seen the Oriental rug that will go with my living room. I received enough bath gel to get me by until Christmas. (My family is so funny) I received a new cool outfit from my daughter. (Jean shirt, new blouse) My husband gave me some beautiful gold earrings. I most forgot the candles I received, I received 4 candles, they go with a glass lamp. It is a lamp that fit's on a candle and lights up when you light the candle. It is my favorite item that my son and daughter-in-law has given me.

Like I said many times, I am a blessed woman. I feel like I don't always deserve there love, but they give it anyway.

The Christ of the Covenants- More thoughts

I.) Covenant of Redemption

Involves the Parties who work together to affect Mankind’s redemption

Rooted in eternity

Displays harmony within Trinity (Eph. 1:3-14)

Jesus constantly say’s that he has come to do the Father’s will

From Kuiper,

Scripture plainly teaches the reality of this council of redemption. Especially in the writings of John, the Father is repeatedly said to have sent the Son. For but one example, “Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins” (1 John 4:10). Christ spoke of a commission given Him by the Father. For instance, toward the close of His earthly ministry He reported, as it were, to the Father: “I have glorified thee on the earth; I have finished the work which thou gavest me to do” (John 17:4). In such a passage, among others, as Isaiah 53:12 prominent mention is made of the reward given by the Father to the Son for His accomplished work: “Therefore will I divide him a portion with the great, and he shall divide the spoil with the strong; because he hath poured out his soul unto death; and he was numbered with the transgressors; and he bare the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors.” Just as clearly does Scripture teach that the Holy Spirit was sent by the Father and the Son. Jesus promised His disciples “the Holy Ghost, whom,” he said, “the Father will send in my name” (John 14: 26), and He described the third person of the Trinity as “the Comforter, whom I will send you from the Father” (John 15: 26).

In short, before the world was, the Triune God formed a plan of salvation to be executed in its several reciprocally distributed parts by the Father as Sender and Principal, by the Son as Sent, Mediator, and Sender, and by the Holy Spirit as Sent and Applier.

II.) Covenant of Works (Covenant of non-Redemptive Grace)

Life was promised to Adam; and in Him to his posterity, upon the condition of perfect and personal obedience (WCF)

Was it gracious?

III.) Covenant of Grace (Covenant of Redemptive Grace)

The Structure Of Ancient Covenants –

George Mendenhall – UM (Law and Covenant in Israel and The Ancient Near East)

Meredith Kline took the time to look closely at Mendenhall’s conclusion as it pertains to Scripture.

Preamble -- Identifies Sovereign Of Treaty (Ex. 6:2-5)

Historical Prologue – Brief Hx. of relationship between Suzerain and Vassals (Ex. 20:2)

Stipulations – Terms of agreements (Ex. 20)

Sanctions – Blessings and Cursing measured against the Stipulations (Dt. 28:1-8, 15-20)

It is absolutely essential that, at this point, we don’t turn Covenant Theology into quid pro quo Theology. We must understand that the given Law is not an abstract list of moral rules that we keep in order to curry favor. Rather it is the case that because we have experienced the graciousness of our Covenant God that we take seriously His law. God’s Grace is always prior for the Christian (cmp. Ex. 20:1) and our response, in the context of covenant, is a loving obedience (John 14:15), driven by Gratitude to the God who has done all, including working in us the desire and end of obedience (Phil. 2:13, Eph. 2:10, Is. 26:12)

1. Geerhardus Vos in his “Biblical Theology” writes this:

"The law was given after the redemption from Egypt had been accomplished, and the people had already entered upon the enjoyment of many of the blessings of the berith (covenant). Particularly, their taking possession of the promised land could not have been made dependent on previous observance of the law, for during their journey in the wilderness many of its prescripts could not be observed. It is plain, then, that law-keeping did not figure at that juncture as the meritorious ground of life-inheritance. The latter is based on grace alone, no less emphatically than Paul himself places salvation on that ground.

Vows & Ratification (Gen. 15:17-18)

Swearing oaths and vows enacted treaties in the Ancient World. Covenants were ratified by vows visibly preformed by cutting covenant. In the cutting of covenant self-maledictory oaths were being taken that should either of the parties violate the Covenant it should be done unto them that which had been done to these sundered animals.

With Abraham God cuts covenant alone. He calls upon Himself the maledictory cursing for covenant breaking, swearing by His own name. The symbolism is clear here: If God fails to keep Covenant, he will be torn asunder like the Animals.

Now, can anyone tell me what the ratification Ceremonies are in the Renewed and Better covenant?

Deposit – Ex. 25:21-22

Two Tables

A place where one could go to, in order to consult the covenantal agreement.

Another way of understanding Covenant arrangements.

From Ray Sutton's, "That You May Prosper"

T – Transcendence (Corresponds to Preamble and Hx. Prologue above)

Covenants universally include the idea of God’s Transcendence. Transcendence is not the idea that God is distant but rather that God is distinct. Transcendence upholds the Creator Creature distinction. Men do not share in God’s ontological being. This Transcendent Covenant God is Lord over all. The result of this is that in Covenant Theology God alone retains absolute Sovereignty since God is the Suzerain that enters into Covenant with His people.

The implication of this is that, temporally speaking; no man or Sphere (Family, Church, State) is allowed to have absolute power. All are hemmed in by God’s sovereign Word.
H – Hierarchy

Covenants taught a concept of authority, or Hierarchy, based on representation. In this way God makes known His transcendence on earth. (Dt. 1:12-17)

Adam was a covenant head who had, because of his place in the covenant, been given delegated authority, and so was God's representative. Satan tempted Adam by offering Adam Divine authority instead of delegated authority in the Covenant.

Within each Covenant of Scripture you will find a Covenant head who is part of God’s representative hierarchy here on earth. It is the way that God brings His concrete sovereignty to bear in this world.

In the different covenantal Sphere’s that are taught in Scripture you see the same thing. (Family – Father, Church – Elders, State – Magistrates) and yet, as we said earlier none of these are absolute. They are hemmed in by God’s Word and by the doctrine of interposition when God’s Word is grossly neglected in any realm. This representative principle makes everyone accountable to someone and leaves absolute Sovereignty to God alone.

E – Ethics – Corresponds to Stipulations and Sanctions

O – Oaths

S – Succession – The Covenants that we are concerned with in Scripture are generational.

In Adam’s Fall, we fell all

Noah’s Covenant still holds true

Abraham’s covenant is continued as we are Abraham’s seed (Romans 4)

Mosaic covenant is continued as Christ did not come to abrogate the Law (Mt. 5:17)

Davidic covenant is continued as Christ reigns as David’s Greater Son and we are His people

Renewed and better covenant is the full grown tree of the Acorn started

Because we see the Covenant as being generational and not individualistic we bring our children in obedience and place them in the legal and personal relationship that the covenant establishes believing God’s promises to our children and obeying His commands. Because we bring them on the basis of God’s promises and commands we deal with our children as Christians and we teach them what it means to live a life of repentance and faith.

No Posting

Life is so crazy around my house.

My husband's Grandmother passed away, (Funeral is tomorrow) church is crazy, Boaz has another camp I have to run him to the next two days, life in general is crazy right now. I'll post when I have time. Maybe later in the week, if there is time.

The Christ of the Covenants

I wasn't able to go to Bible study last night. I am really enjoying reading this book.

What is the Christ of the Covenant?

The original covenant between God and man may be termed the Covenant of Creation. This focuses on the relationship between man and God as his Creator.
A covenant is “a bond in blood sovereignly administered by God.” It is a bond that binds people together. It is a bond of life and death in blood demonstrating the ultimacy of the act of “covenanting.” It is a bond that is sovereignly administered by God that disregards human bartering or contracting that regularly characterizes the manner in which fallen men attempt to merit salvation.

In a more focal aspect to the Covenant of Creation, God sets up Adam in a probation period in the garden called the covenant of commencement, or Covenant of Works. When Adam breaks this covenant, God pronounces a curse on Satan

Marriage is also seen in this Creation Covenant as a mark of the further redemptive mystery of Christ and His church.

Galatians 3:16 "Now to Abraham and his seed were the promises made. He saith not, And to seeds, as of many; but as of one, And to thy seed, which is Christ."

What is a Covenant?

A covenant is a sacred and binding agreement made in love between persons or between persons and God.

Generally, almost any promise set forth in a written agreement. Most commonly, assurances set forth in a deed by the grantor or implied by law.

We make covenants all the time. Binding contracts that we have to keep.

I'll post more as I read through and gleen from this book.

Very busy this week

With running Boaz to Wrestling camp and starting a new job it seems I have no time to post anything. Kent (My new boss) wanted to take me around his whole house and show me what he needed cleaned. He has a lot of delicate items so he wanted to show me how to handle them when I'm moving them to dust. I think this will work out real well. He seems like a super nice fellow. He works out of his home, for the most part, (Which will be weird) but I will deal with it. He seems like he will be a great man to clean for. (Hopefully I'm right)

I'm off to the movies with my daughter. On Thursday's I try to give her a little of my time.

I hate spam

How do I get rid of these stupid spam comments?

My special Meal

I have received some emails asking if the only thing I received for my birthday was a fortune cookie. (This had me LOL!) I asked my husband to put my birthday meal off until July 23rd. The Twin's birthday was Wednesday, we than went to the Water park Saturday. I than had to have the boy's ready for camp Sunday at 1:00 p.m. My husband always makes me Chicken Parmesan (My favorite meal) and homemade Carrot cake for desert for my special meal.

A side thought

As I was thinking about your emails today, I remember one Valentine's day, an old boy friend gave me a thing of strawberries and one rose. Instead of being grateful, I was angry. It should have been the thought that counted, but to get strawberries, I didn't even get chocolate to dip them in. I got mad because I thought the guy was trying to tell me I needed to lose weight. (I am sure the women can relate a little to this)I know now that he was trying to be romantic, but at the time, I thought he was a big jerk!
On my birthday or special occasion I like to eat junk or something fattening! I never told this man why I was upset. It makes me laugh (Not funny, ha,ha)(Sad, selfish laugh) today thinking about how awful I was.

After 20 years of marriage I don't have to tell my husband that I want the good stuff for my birthday/special events.

I will get my nice big fattening dinner and desert on Sunday.
I also asked for an oriental rug for my living room. Our living room has hardwood flooring in it.

I'll write about it Sunday, after my husband goes to work.

Wrestling Camp

My boy's are at wrestling camp this week. You would think I would have tons of time on my hands. I have to drive Boaz to camp every morning at 8:00 a.m. It is only a half hour away but it seems by the time I get there and home I only have a few hours to clean and do the things I need to do before I go to work. I'll write more about wrestling camp later. The boy's have a phone in their room, Oh boy; every chance Jon gets he calls home. I knew he would be the one that would get homesick. He doesn't like to be away from home at all. All in all, it should be good for all 4 of them.

I miss my boy's!!

Out of Boaz's mouth once Again

My husband came up to me yesterday and gave me a hug, and wished me a happy birthday. He than said, "You look just like I thought you would look at 43". I asked him what he meant by that statement. He said, "You are like cheese, you age well", I didn't know it, but Boaz was standing behind me. He said, "Dad do you mean mom is starting to stink?"

He wasn't goofing around.

The Christ of the Covenants

I will be going through this book in a new Bible study that will be held on Wednesday's at a friend's house. Several people will be attending this study. I will post what I am learning from week to week.

Thank you reader for the email.

Yes, it is The Christ of the Covenants.

The Water Park

I went to the water park yesterday with my 4 boys. The boy's didn't want to leave my side. Well, Jon didn't want to leave my side. At one point in the day, I was in the wave pool, on a tube with all 4 boys holding onto the side of the tube. A friend of mine asked what I was doing for my birthday. I told him I was taking the kids to the water park. I don't care for the water much, I try to take the boys one time in the summer. The only thing I like about the water park is lying in a lawn chair and reading a good book.

We stayed until 7:00 p.m. I think we all got a little sunburn.

The twins Party

The day went very well, I didn't make Jon and Jimmy do anything all day. I tried to make it a very special day for them.

I started out by making them the breakfast of their choice. They wanted sausage Mcmuffin sandwiches. (With Bob Evans sausage)

I took one of my routes off; I knew it was going to be a busy afternoon, cooking enough food to feed everyone that was coming over was going to be a bit of work.
(16 people)

My daughter did any last minute shopping I needed her to do.(I always forget something) My 16 year old son helped me around the house.(Becca and Aaron were very helpful) My mother-in-law came early to help me cook all the food. I knew it wasn't going to be easy making enough food to feed all of the people we invited. My husband had to take Boaz to his wrestling club, so he couldn't help at all. I don't know how we pulled it off, but right at 6:30 p.m. all the guests were here and the food was ready.

The boy's got many things for their birthday. Jon received $55, 3 shirts, a pair of shorts, an air soft gun, and an electric scooter. Jimmy received $55, a computer game, an Xbox game, 3 shirts, a pair of shorts, and an electric scooter.

I think they had a great time. (I did!) : )

A big fortune Cookie

I have to confess my favorite cookie is a fortune cookies. I once went to Gordon foods and bought a big bulk bag of fortune cookies, and ate them all.

When I came home from work tonight, there was the biggest fortune cookie I have ever seen, on the counter for me. It was from my loving husband, to me, for my birthday.

The fortune inside said this;

My beautiful wife and best friend,
Just finding myself thinking of you and wanting to make you smile.

Signed,

Your Love

I am a very blessed women

Prayer request for a little girl named Cre in Detroit

A friend of mine just called and asked for me to pray for a little girl named Cre, she is having laser eye surgery on both of her eyes today. Rhona from Talk from the Heart looks after this young girl.

Out of the mouth of Babe's

I wrote all about my twin's special birthday meal.

The day after the twin's birthday, I made pizza rolls for all my boys for lunch.
Boaz asked, if he could please have the old rotten potatoes that we had last night. He has been taking speech classes since he was in Kindergarten, I thought I misunderstood him. I asked him to repeat himself. He once again asked if he could have the left over old rotten potatoes from last night. I said "do you mean the Au Gratin potatoes? He looked at me and said "is that what they are called? That is a really silly name for potatoes."

I couldn't help but LOL!!

The Twins turn twelve Today

It seemed like only yesterday I was giving birth to my twin boys. I was as big as a house. Do you think these two little boys would come early like most twins do? I grew out of all my maternity cloths but one outfit. Were did the time go? I can't believe they are 12 today. I remember when my 28 year old son turned 12; it seems like a blink of an eye ago. He is now married with three children of his own.

My husband and I have spent the last two evenings getting stuff for their birthday party. Monday we got their gifts, and tonight we bought all the food. They both wanted electric scooters. My husbands bought Bo, (our youngest) a scooter last week when the boy's were gone away with their youth group. They also wanted some computer games and an air soft gun.

One thing we do in our family is we each pick out a birthday meal, on our birthday. They each have a favorite food that they like to eat. The 1/2 hour older twin picked out Spaghetti with meat sauce, Au Gratin potatoes, and green bean casserole. The younger twin picked out Ribs, and mash potatoes with no lumps in them. (Instant) The older twin picked out Confetti cake with blue frosting. His brother picked out Oreo ice cream cake. It sounds like we will have a feast tonight.

We have some family members coming over to help them celebrate. My mom and dad, my husband mom and my son and family. When we all get together, it is alot of people.

A new Job

I got a new job today! It all really happened pretty fast. An acquaintance told me a few months ago to keep applying for jobs. He told me not to give up just because the one I applied for wouldn't work out with my schedule. I have kept my eyes open the last few months and this job sort of just fell into my lap. The only down fall, is I have to give up one of my other jobs. I have two motor routes, and I work as a custodian 16 hours a week at my church. My husband said; I could take this job, if I give up one of the other three. I hate making decisions like this!!

I will be cleaning for a man who is a multi-millionaire (or so he says) builder in Ann Arbor. He is putting in a big subdivision around the Ann Arbor Area. He is single and around my age, I don't have a problem with this. I can handle myself o.k., the man that I talked to today just told me to watch myself. That mades me a little uneasy, but I think he was just watching out for me, he is a father type. Jim (the man who got me the job) will take me to meet my new boss on Friday at 10:45 a.m. We will sit down and work out the detail. I'm trying to get my own cleaning business going; I am praying that this will get me some contacts.

My year in Review

I talked to a friend yesterday about my 42nd year of life. I have a few more days to enjoy it and do something worth while. I have to say it has not been a very profitable year for me. I pondered back over each month to see if I did anything to further the Kingdom. I haven't talk to any one about the Lord. I made some very poor decisions that will affect the rest of my life. I not only made decisions that would affect my life, I dragged another innocent person into my thoughtless plan to get my daughter married.( this is no joke, I really did this stupid thing) My daughter is a beautiful young lady. Yes, she could pick a husband for herself, and no I have never done this before. To make a very long story short, I hurt some very innocent people with this plan of mine. I wanted my daughter to marry a Godly man that would lead her and her children down the right path in life. The man I picked fit this to a T.
Due to some unforeseen events, this did not work out. People got hurt and lives got changed. My life will never be the same. My life feel apart this year due to this very poor decision.

Now that I have that off my chest, I can move on. I have learned from my errors, that you can't play with people's lives.(I did ask for this mans forgiveness, he didn't grate me it but I did try) I hurt this poor man and my daughter very badly. It will take me a while to forgive myself for this. I have moved out of this man's life so he can heal. All I can do for my daughter, is keep raising her the proper way. I pray someone as good as this man I chose for her, comes along and marries her.

This shadowed my thoughts all week. I tried to think of any good, which I have done, or anyone that I have helped. This is were my friend came into play. I was telling this person how I wanted to write about my year. The good I have done and the not so wise things I have done. This person helped me see some good, which I had done for others. I was very happy that I just didn't waste a year on selfish "me". These are the things this person named.

1. I lead worship every other week in our church.
2. I work in the nursery.
3. I worked as a substitute Awana worker almost every Wednesday evening when people couldn't make it.
4. I took meals to people when they were sick or had a baby.
5. I visited people in the hospital.
6. I helped my parents take care of their dogs when my dad had heart surgery.
7. I helped my brother with his kids, getting them to and from baseball.
8. I helped my daughter-in-law when she had her new baby. I watch my grandchildren often.

Interesting things that happened to me this year

I got to go to Chicago with my husband on a business trip. You have to understand my husband and I never got to take a honeymoon or any trip together in the 20 years we have been married. We have 6 children and they always come first.

I got to get a photo shoot of me for a painting, to be shown at an art exhibition in August.

I was able to head up a Praise/Worship event at out church. It was a two hour singspiration with many different styles of music selections. This was so much fun to be a part of. It was alot of work, but worth every second I devoted to it.

Work done on our house;

Two years ago we bought a 1920 old farm house. It needed some work, but it was perfect for my family. This year we had new siding put on our house, new windows put in, our upstairs remodeled. We still have to paint the whole inside of our house, and finish something's upstairs, but it looks so nice now. I was able to work hard on the outside landscaping this summer. I planted alot of new flowers, some perennials, and other types of flowers. This year I was able to add a touch of me to my outdoors. I planted a few peonies, a mexican heather, a few other perennials, the names have left me.

The more I write the more I see that God has bless me greatly this year.

To the reader who asked about the Jelly Recipe.

To the reader that asked me to post my Strawberry Jelly recipe. I am sorry I just haven't sat down to do it. I couldn't get back ahold of you by email,I can't remember Bo's password on his email. It is a easy recipe and something fun you can do with your children. Bo and my other boy's loved helping mash the strawberries and put in the sugar. It is a fun and cheap way to teach your children how to "can". They loved it and we now have a year supply of strawberry jelly.

One week before I turn one more year older (YUCK)

Oh brother, this will take me a while to write about. I have been pondering about my year all week. What did I do with a whole year? I don't want to write about all the bad things that happened, so I am going to write about the positive things first. Not tonight, I have to get ready for bed. It's been a very busy weekend. Yesterday, my friend and I, left at 9:00 a.m. to go to the Zoo. I didn't get home until 9:30 p.m. I than had to get up at 2:00 a.m. to go to work. Today was my niece's bridal shower, she is getting married on July 29th. I made food for it, and helped clean up afterwards. Before I went to work I had to feed my children. I just home from work a bit ago. Tomorrow brings more fun! A friend of mine, that moved to Nashville a year ago is here for the weekend. After church we are going to get together with them and another family. I have missed Karen so much. I have been so into "me" this last year, I haven't even called her to say hi. This is a friend who I use to talk to several times a week, and my children went to her home all the time, before she moved. What a great friend I have become. Tomorrow evening, I have a business meeting at church. I feel a bit overwhelmed just thinking about my day tomorrow. I'll blog about my year on Monday. (Maybe)

The Zoo Trip

I'll blog about this as soon as I have time. I do have to say, I had alot of fun. I haven't laughed that hard in a long time. Well, my husband says I laugh too much, so maybe I have laughed that hard before. My 3 year old grandson was a joy to be around.

I took Bo to the Zoo on Thursday. His brother's were gone to camp or Kings Island. I have 5 children so to get away with only one child is pretty special. We went with Bo's best friend Josh. His best friend is his nephew who is a year younger than he is. We went to the Toledo Zoo. It is a very nice Zoo. Bo and Josh thought it was fun to see who could get me to laugh more. I have to say I really just try to enjoy myself and have fun in life. Sure we will find hurt's everywhere we look. We have to learn from them and move forward. I have to say my 3 year old grandson made me laugh the most. I could only understand half of what he said. He said this line at least a half dozen times, "Na Na want to go to your house and eat popcorn and watch Spider Man". He was pretty upset when we stopped to eat on the way home from the Zoo. My granddaughter is 4 months old, she was so very good. I had a most enjoyable day.

Our next outing is on Thursday. We have planned to take the kid's to the park for playing and lunch. Saturday, will be more fun! We are going to take the kid's to the Water Park near my house. I have been trying to keep my children busy this summer so they are not just sitting around watching T.V. and playing Video games. The outings my daughter-in-law and I planned are not real costly, but lots of fun for the kids.

I only had to take one day off of work for all of this. We just planned fun outings around my work schedule.

People's Opinion of Us

I sat the other day in a restaurant with my family. I was having a conversation with Bo about our up coming Zoo trip. He stopped what he was saying and told me (his Mom) what beautiful eyes I have. He said, he always thought they were brown like his.(My eyes are blue) My husband chimed in and said, I told you that your eyes were beautiful, not only beautiful, but captivating. I asked him what he meant by that. He said, they have a way of drawing people to them. I am still a little confused by his comment. That was their opinion of my eyes.

I got an email from a man, he is an artist. He asked me, if he could paint my portrait for his art exhibition. I had to think about this and ask my husband if this was o.k. I know this man, and his wife well, so I felt comfortable doing it. I went today to his studio, so he could take all the picture's he needed of me. He has an art exhibition in August,he would like to add my picture to his other paintings. He took about 200 different shot's of me. I asked him why he would pick me to paint. His opinion was that I have a unique look. I have very high check bones, a nice dimple, and very capivating eye's. (There was that word again) His wife said, she thought the picture would really add alot to his collection of paintings. I couldn't believe it when I saw his paintings. They were breathtaking. His wife is very beautiful,he captured all of her finest details. In his opinion, my painting will be wonderful.

On Sunday our Pastor told of a person that is always encouraging, fun to be around, always willing to help out someone in need, always smiling. After the sermon someone came up to me and said they thought that comment was about me. This was their opinion of me.

I received a card a few weeks ago from a person. The card had so many awesome things all about me. Again, this was this person's opinion of me.

These kinds of opinion are wonderful! What do we do about the not so nice opinion about us? I had a friend who made a comment about me, I didn't care for it at all. I no longer talk to this person, or should I say this person no longer talks to me. I took what was said, and got angry. I like the other opinions, but when it was something I didn't like, I got mad. How often, do we take what we like, but reject what we need to change? I'm working on what I need to change! It took me a few weeks to except what was said, and do something about it. It is my opinion that we need to take the good with the bad. Learn how to except and change the bad quilities about us, and learn from them.

Of course this is just my opinion! (giggle)

Our weekend

Boaz is to busy with summer fun, to blog anymore. I'll take over, and write about our summer. The weekend was a little busy with activities and friend's staying over. Friday night we went to my friend's house for some fellowship. Boaz and his brother's got to go swimming and play pool. I couldn't get them to leave, we didn't get home until almost 1:00 a.m. The bad thing about that, is I get up at 2:00 a.m. to go to work. It all worked out well, I slept in until 3:30 a.m.

Saturday, my husband and I,ran around to a bunch of stores, in the morning. We got fireworks for Tuesday's fun. (I'll write about our Fourth of July plans later) Boaz went to work with me, we cleaned, took his dad some dinner, played in the pool for a while, and off to bed we went. (around 10:00 p.m.) I had to get up for work at 1:30 a.m.

Sunday, was a busy day; We started off with church, I had a friend's Tupperware to hand, this kept me busy for some time after church. My husband and I took the kids out to eat after that. I let my boy's have their best friend's over to spend the night. I try to be a good mom, and entertain as best I can. We had a group over for a while. My daughter had two of her friends here, my oldest boy still living at home had a friend over to down load something to his computer. My twins had two friend's over. I had a full house for a time. I ordered pizza and made cookies. My oldest son still living at home left for camp this morning. I had to get all of his things packed and ready to go. His brother's are going to Kings Island this week with their youth group. I needed to make sure everything was clean. I thought I would be really tired by the time I was done, do you think I could sleep? I went over the day's events, thought about some friend,s until I couldn't stand that anymore. I read until sleep finally won me over.
